  1. Yeap, it was a cheap way for them to kill prisoners. Hitler even had them film them as they died slowly from asphyxiation.
  2. Where would I draw the line to not cross in that scenario, necrophilia?.
  3. They go cold so quick tho
  4. Exactly, I would never say fuel poverty doesn't exist, as it definitely does but mostly for those with gas or electric only. It's not the 60s where everyone has a fireplace, I've been selling logs long enough to remember when people thought they were doing you a favour buying 6 months of you're hard work for a pittance.
  5. Or how I've afforded this really expensive log burner and now realised it's not as free as those TV programmes made it out to be.
  6. They are going to do it regardless of what is said or done, what's the difference between a stick with a nail and a Exocet missile. Both end up with the exact same outcome!. The Germans even used piano wire in ww2!. I'm not saying war is good, but that's what mutually assured destruction limits.
  7. Not really missed, more it's a necessity of life. We might as well earn something even if we're only 7th but most of that is actual tech, the French will be mostly missiles or nuclear submarines. The freed russian for a basketball player who went to Russia regularly and knew the rules is just a publicity stunt for uncle Joe. There is more deserving marines they should have released 1st.
  8. Whatever you want is going to be very limited especially if you're plugging it into the cigarette lighter socket. Less than 150w at 12v. I'm sure one of the other guys on here had a Landover with the "Range Rover Sport Webasto Diesel Heater" fitted ?.
  9. It would need to be hard wired to the battery tho at that amperage, unless you can find a 100w version. If your wanting a more permanent solution, diesel night heaters would be better but you start cutting holes in things for the exhaust.
  10. At 12v that's 42A Heated seat would be better option at 10-15A. But it's probably cheaper just to keep the engine running on tickover. People always said 15 minutes of idling equal a mile when sat in traffic, so say 1.5 litre an hour.
  11. No matter how much you rotate the wheels or play with the wipers, if you're carrying that spare like you just don't care it's going to cause parking issues 😉.
  12. Do you have a list of the search terms ?. Number 2. Best place to buy a 22 plate evoke.
  13. Cmon, you've all watched the end of lord of war haven't you?. Would you prefer the Chinese government sells it instead?.
  14. An arbtalk thunder dome if you will ?
  15. That and whatever you do, fit a roll bar on the rear, some mud guards and a pto shield. Many a farmer has stopped being a farmer through getting caught up 🙂.
  16. Down the pub after a few I can kinda understand but during the day. I couldn't care if he had an excuse either 🙂
  17. If I had aylar at home, think the car would get SORN.
  18. Taking a swing at anyone like that is a definite police only, apologies count for nothing. Might be time to invest in a cheap go pro for whoever is on lollipop duty. Not saying I wouldn't get frustrated, but to assault someone crosses a line where you wonder what they'd do to their wife.
  19. Sadly a lot of drivers lack the common sense we had in years gone by and don't alter the driving style. We don't need winter tyres here, people just need to use common sense. I'm a country lad who can 99% of the time get further than most idiots driving posh 4x4s. High gear and use the clutch to start etc. You can always tell on an icy day when people are bumper to bumper at traffic lights, it's a wtf leave space as you watch them slip en slide!.
  20. Didn't know that and I've watched a lot of boaty YouTube over the years 🙂.
  21. Would it be better buying through a chandler or whatever the name is for a boat estate agent ?. Bit more peace of mind if it did go south in the depths kinda way?
  22. Not really, if the seller is charging what you think is an unreasonable amount they won't buy and will never buy from you again. We all have companies we won't deal with through past experiences. It'll be a flash in the pan short term wise, Eastern Europe is hardly going to sit around before flooding the market in the new year when it's one the their largest exports.
  23. I'm not sure about the validity of that trial, growing up in the 90s and the amounts of drugs used by drinkers and party animals back then didn't seem to have much of an impact on the lack of drinking. Maybe all that drinking on the park was a positive thing, compared to the yoof afterwards?.
  24. What are you trying to prove with your numbers ?. You either sell them or not, it's a buyer's market at the end of the day, you can charge what you like but the old adage stands true. Once bitten twice shy.
  25. Whilst I've not checked my gas bill recently, I'd be a bit dubious about mains gas being more expensive, think someone last week worked it out to 5p. Calor gas or LPG has historically always been one of the most expensive forms of heating. Zero competition and all that as it's a branded tank arrangement mostly.
