  2. Corroded or scalding, usually you can buy the coil on its own. If you have more than one coil you could swap it for another one to verify the problem and check fuses.

30 years ago, I had a sideways growing one out 7 years ago and needed a bloody expensive specialist as they don't like the risk of you waking up and hitting someone or dying, whichever. I'm not sure if everyone played the who had the largest hands game, but they could have atleast bought me dinner.

Wisdom teeth they's won't let you leave on your own.
  5. Just buy your self a new axe if you're not prepared to do it yourself or atleast attempt it.
  6. I'd take some paperwork just to prove you're moving tho. In theory you don't but if you're LR is sign written they could be arsey and waste a few hours. Do know a guy that got pulled doing a regular trip with a trailer, those ANPR camera on the gantry were counting trips as it wasn't personal use.
  7. So on a £400+ tool they cheap out on a decent conformal coating on the PCB that literally cost them pennies to epoxy coat the thing during manufacture on a professional grade tool. Great job Stihl when Lidl probably build it better for a quarter of the price.
  8. He would have business insurance, but doubtful it would cover delivery of logs as I've a separate policy for firewood. That's on top of a business vehicle insurance, think the description is delivery to end user or finished product. Most agri or commercial policies cover movement of wet timber and chip but not the dry. Hire or reward one presumes.
  9. Aslong as you're definitely sure it's all above board, worth asking if you can phone them. I'm rural but I've had plenty of okay experience with my local council, all above board and legal, but planning, permitted development, prior approval including agricultural, change of use and everything in-between is an expensive PITA.
  10. Think you might need to look into planning 1st. Anything that large I'd say steel frame and breeze block walls.
  11. Do they need a phone for each headset, maybe using the phone as a WiFi mesh network as that would be considerably stronger. Bluetooth isn't exactly known for it's distance, my headphones for the iPad barely get 6m before they're useless.
  12. Fair enough if you can get it as they are built like a tank. I think they're late 90s before they streamlined the numbers. But yeah a bit big for a mf35, even mine bogs down a 80hp at the shaft 4l Perkins with a turbo. I'd rather buy a old machine like that that waste money on tin plates and headaches, buy once cry once.
  13. Think you might have missed a zero on a TP760 price

  15. Or sweet talk a local tree guy for a bit of free publicity. A few council parks departments used to do it for the scouts, a fiver a tree or something like that and the usual local paper wrote an article or two.
  16. 1000 rpm on the PTO is usually around 2000rpm engine. 860 is probably practically on tickover, depending on your dashboard either find the PTO reading or add some revs until your chipper reads around 950-1000
  17. A file.
  18. Well, providing the tractor has dual range 540 or 1000, if it's not sounding like a bag of spanners at 860 then slowly take it up to 1000. I should ask is it direct PTO shaft to the chipper flywheel, 540 usually need a gearbox to boost it and you'd never want to go much higher without grenading the transfer box.
  19. Flue temp should be taken only be at the stove outlet, usually a short section of single wall depending on the installation. If twin wall is at 250c it's well beyond knackered it's a fire hazard. Just get reputable stove installer to have a look and see what they suggest or atleast your local sweep will point you in the right direct. If it's been dragging on since it's installation years ago, get it sorted once and for all.
  20. Car battery and balance charger is the recommended setup. Gives the heater more than enough oomph for starting and cooling down as it shouldn't be just turned off and always good incase of a power cut etc.
  21. Grassy knoll and a book repository are all that comes to mind. Maybe that Gas Monkey Garage ?
  22. Are you implying any man fixing a land rover has a big tool, as it usually ends up being increasingly large sledgehammers.
  23. Do you need specific safety ones, most places I've been say you should but are happy with over goggles when necessary. Always worn cheapy glasses with plastic lenses, safer than glass and usually on a cheap deal.
  24. Think one of the routes required 100 hours of supervision and training.
