I’m afraid I’m not woke enough to know where the term originated from, I assume it means sounding sympathetic without understanding or actually being genuinely sympathetic in anyway whatsoever. Everything went wrong when we stopped smacking children.

Really? I don’t know anyone who’d think getting a point at Wembley against a “far superior side” was not a decent result. Yes like many sides our progress depends on results from other games. But it probably won’t come down to that in the end. Yes,as far as goals scored we are 1 behind England☹️.

Yeah I sort of worked that out after I posted, information is valuable, sad but true, weakness and fragility preyed upon relentlessly these days, although I feel weakness and fragility are encouraged a little too much.

The fact that they are extremely intelligent is what makes farmers hate them, I’ve seen a pair of ravens at a lambing ewe, one bouncing in front of ewes face to distract her while the other is taking the tongue out of the protruding lamb at her back end, and also put a hole in her udder for good measure, bastards, but such is nature.

Well, a bit of civility is always preferable I suppose. I was just suggesting that the internet and forums seem to attract keyboard warriors, funny that eh? You can switch off, walk away, ignore etc. If you’re a bit sensitive/touchy or just don’t like being abused then getting involved in forum spats is probably not a great choice, but it is a personal choice.

Sorry, can’t be arsed reading back, but I find it hard to believe Andy is upset by comments on here, Christ he’s had me me do down as a mad, thick alky (I’m not saying he’s wrong) but, on an Internet forum you can say just about anything surely without comebacks, it’s a load of shite and nobody cares, do they? It’s surely a good place to say whatever you like to likeminded people without upsetting people you genuinely care for. It’s the internet, mostly nonsense on forums. Although they are useful and good fun at times.

Apparently so. I’m sure it’s disputed, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised, they are absolute brutes of birds, reintroduction of WTE has been a runaway success, resulting in very many birds in the area now, so competition for food is only getting more fierce.

Not much predation on the islands here, we don’t have foxes on Mull thankfully, there is a bit of bother with white tailed sea eagles that have been reintroduced in the past 20 yrs or so, they are taking live lambs off the ground and also the odd household pet. I think there are too many now, they are killing everything, lambs, goat kids, mountain hares and the iconic Golden eagle, rewilding has a lot to learn.
