I was self employed for 30 yrs, now employed by someone I’ve known for about the same amount of time, can’t be arsed with big shot business owners thinking they are “all that”, they are **************** all without the workers, and the workers are **************** all without them. Fairly simple.

…and so do the workers, it’s not new and it’s not startling news, good workers and good companies do well, but they don’t always stay doing the same thing together. One is as important as the other is all I’m saying.

You need the the guy to create the work and you need the guy to do the work, to have both is crucial for a business to work. They need each other. If, as he says, they are good lads, then he needs to manage things a little better. Can’t be arsed with “ someone complained!” Must be the grafters fault!!

You sound like a reasonable guy, sounds like the guys are shifting stuff quicker and getting the job done🤷♂️, not sure how you see that as lazy? But I do understand your grievance. Tell your guys that time is not the priority but tidyness is!

You’re quite right, just live with it, no big deal being off plumb. I’d be more concerned at having a 45 that near the stove, I was under the impression 35 was the max on a wood burner, ( recommended, not law?) Bends get hot! Should warm the room quicker though.
