  1. Pulled it over but no spark tried bridging the two metal springs as well ?
  2. Just got given an ms201t for 20 notes as my friend smashed it up and then got a new one, top handle completely busted. The master switch us missing but is there any way I can make it spark without the switch?
  3. Is that why it smells like almonds/marzipan when it goes through the chipper? I remember good ol ray mears mentioning that tannins/cyanide smells like almonds....... I may be wrong and imagining this haha
  4. Killing the saw in the cut is I suppose similar to plug chop I was told to do on my yamaha dtr 125 im guessing its to do with fuel being burnt under load, maybe someone else will have a better explanation than me
  5. It may possibly be down to my porting job just gutted as the saw was a gift to me and spent most of its time felling commercially, was nice to bring it back to life after sitting in the back of a shed for god knows how long
  6. It's the way to do it although occasionally you find someone else already had that idea haha
  7. Mild porting spud and only the edges of the port not top or bottom, and the saw been used a fair bit since then with no problems. I was cutting a stump down when it just spluttered, backfired then stopped
  8. Also I did get a 660 pot and piston to put on a while ago from ghs and the quality was rubbish what are those hyway kits like ?
  9. It was the original cylinder with a meteor piston and Yeh it's mendable but I haven't got the spare cash to be throwing at it at the moment more a case of goodbye for a good while

  11. Looking to get a few ropes spliced? Sick of the fisherman's getting stuck one is my lanyard and I just want my snap hook spliced onto it, and the others are my short ropes would just require an eye splice Thanks in advance Lakeyboy

  15. Maybe because I did it through my phone it's identical to a portek maxi but made by Clarke 25+ post but like I said make me an offer buddy
  16. Had a look at a couple of sites one had an asking price of £80 and timeless tools was £180 think I may just clean it up (properly) and put it out of the way for a rainy day! Thanks for all the replies gents !!

  18. I disagree they will heat the teeth up ...If you try to take lots in one go. I have always taken small amounts and never had any problems with sharpening with a file

  23. Didn't really know where to post this ...... One of the properties we look after is being sold, so recently we have been clearing the vast number of sheds and stables today I found some milled elm boards about 12 ft Long but need to look through them as there is bit of woodworm in the boards I can get at, also found an old granberg file and guide what I'm most interested in is this old axe, it says elwell 5. Worth keeping ?
  24. Yeh no chance i am going to take myself too high with my spiderjack just yet, I can control my friction hitches just fine but the spiderjack seems so much more delicate with controlling speed haha !!
