  1. The arm numbers are different, the 372xp (old) has a horizontal carb mount, the x-torq has a diagonal mount like the 385/390xp Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. When you chip to ground Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Oh, it's a black plastic arm then Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. If it's the non x-torq version, have you put it into the little white arm on the plastic bit the carb screws onto? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Have you fitted it into the clip inside the trigger? It's fiddly as hell, but it may be easier to fit it through the airbox base plate first, then the throttle and then carb Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. To be fair, as long as the combination doesn't exceed 3.5t, anyone can tow, it's only when it exceeds 3.5t that I would need a B+E Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Yes, it's very fiddly Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. Who needs teeth, that's what blenders were invented for Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. Yes, the older tank has been superseded by the new model, so it should fit, as the new model is listed to fit the older 2007 model Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. Yeah but shooters with baikal shotguns tend to be more accurate than those who use a beretta Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. I wouldn't imagine I would be much use to you even if had my B+E, I'm a utilities surveyor Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. It isn't going to be that much thinner, and the most important part is us young staff can tow a chipper without costing the company with training Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. You have to email Stihl for it's date of registry, Stihl don't really put a date on, although you may be able to find a date stamp around the flywheel area Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. 5mph increase? Is it worth it? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. They have windowed pistons and those funny transfers like Stihls, and the 3120. And the P shaped brake arm, outboard clutch, no air injection. I'm personally not a fan, it's 5cc more and not a great increase of power. As you said, the 385/390 share a few parts with the 372, which is quite useful as it means less spare parts! 16. You can only buy the 2 halves as a set, and at £300, you'd be better off buying a new saw, but try spudulike on here, I know he's just built one from 2 dead saws Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Oh the Oregon bar code is 363rndd009 if you want it in 3/8 chain, but it's Stihl size (.063) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. No, 3/8, it's cheaper and easier to obtain Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. I've had 2 4-mix machines where the valve dropped off into the engine, and one where the little rods that follow the cam and open the valves drop out Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    New Saw

Your choices are either the husky 545, 550xp (both 50cc), 555 & 560xp (60cc), or the 365 & 372xp (70cc) Stihl: 261 or 362 (the Stihl 291 and 391 are pants) Or an older model 346xp, 357xp or 362xp Stihl: 260/026 or 361, 360 or 036 Or what ever the echo equivalent is... TCD will suggest dolmar, but euro dolmar have no dealer or parts network in the uk (all has to be shipped from Germany) or a USA import, which are not CE marked, so about as legal to use as a ported saw by HSE standards. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. I'm running a 36" on my 385xp I'm guessing it's very ported? Full comp or skip? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. So it's 4'3" at the base? And it's got a limb that's about 30" (I assume you mean one of the 2 trunks? It's big, but it's not that big! I've seen similar sized trees Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. No, I just buy new saws from my LOCAL dealer, I have a good relationship with them, I order parts and don't have to pay until I collect, which can be a couple of months, especially as between 2012-13 I had £3k of parts. I'm fully aware of the other brands, I've had options of owning them, I'd quite happily have an old mac Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Difficult, all British saws, but I think I'll go for danarm as I like blue Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. How much faster does it cut then? Does it have to be sporting life? How long is your knob on each raker? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
