  9. This was a large oak but we cut qtr sawn slabs out the middle then the top and bottom lumps were turned 90' and slab bed the other way http://Www.Copfordsawmill.co.uk Follow us on Facebook too

With burr you will get the best planks off the outside, I would skim it all round to see the best bits then take planks accordingly once you have taken planks off all sides you can turn the rest I to any joinery you may need for legs etc. Personal exp only qtr sawn stay flat ish all planks will warp bit with burr you have got to accept as you said you can then cut down and plain once dry to regain some beautifull burrs http://Www.Copfordsawmill.co.uk Follow us on Facebook too

  24. The Manuel ones are fine, it just depends how much setting you have to do in the long run. We're setting up to 8 a day so not for us but if you only ha e a couple grab the pliers http://Www.Copfordsawmill.co.uk Follow us on Facebook too
  25. We ha e an old woodmizer manual setter and an American Manuel setter, think it was cooks. The woodmizer setter is so simple to use and maintain we have had it years http://Www.Copfordsawmill.co.uk Follow us on Facebook too
