  1. Sitting at home waiting for courier to drop off new saw. Got robbed out of my truck a day or so ago!! Had my ever faithful 200 taken just got it back from a full love service, it was sitting in my truck up a skid road whilst doing contract felling up skyline in queenstown NZ. So kiwi arbs if you hear of a cheap 200 with a hole in the base plastic and a 16" bar contact me please 0211283270. I would love to get it back. Meanwhile i guess i'll be ms2014life!
  2. They're out in February in new Zealand I've already ordered one. They might be a bit more more but they're gonna be worth the money. Durability alone is gonna make them worth it!
  3. Whipped of the end of my thumb a few days ago through glove. Really not frothing on the climbing everything I do is hurting! Removing 30m high lombrdis at the mo, rigiging everything down gotta use my hands way more than I wanna be. Gloves full of blood, oh yeah living the tree climbers dream
  4. It'll definitely be a nearby resident as vandals won't go to such lengths to get a thrill the slow painful death usually isn't their style. Neighbours of trees don't want to pay the council for something they think they should get for free cause it shades there BBQ area. New Zealand is pretty low on arb info, the tree should stay or it should go(as I'm sure you know man) we need to inform people and bring them round over here!!!
  5. Agreed have done this with eucalypts down here and it worked! I didn't drill more holes tho just kept feeding the one that was in it. Trick is to lock the cap on your water source so more poison can't be put in to it. I used a fake survallience sign as a deterrent as an extra.

Got arbortec aqua fells. Fricken dreamy comfort spurring, limbwalking, or felling. Best I've had yet in 15 years
  7. If any sawing is involved hand or other wise id definitely employ a second point of safety. I do alot of steep ground work, felling and climbing trees on cliff. A handsaw will wip through a a rope under tension as easy as a chainy with the a good pull. I use a grigri and a jumar for this type of work.
  8. I get tshirts printed with logo on cheap and just got a softshell jacket with embroided logo stuff on cheap. My thing is you work more than you play so may as well spend money on work get ups. I give away some tshirts to clients and people i work with i have gotten work cause of them so they pay for them selves really
  9. I have a sugoi that comes with leg straps abolutely awesome. Laying right on limbs when tip tying and climbing conifers no drama at all havent lost my saw out of the scabbard once. With spurs or not awesome as.
  10. Agreed andy!! If you do it the right way the old boss flicks work over to ya and helps out when they can. I freelance to an old boss often and he flicks me work all the time, as well as my own gig we are solid five days a week every week. Wouldnt be that way without him
  11. Petzl vao for a headlamp cant beat it and led lenser for a hand torch cant beat them
  12. Shouldnt you remove them completely and plant something more suitable for longevity of the tree. Poplars sound like they were planted in the wrong place if you need to top them
  13. I don't what happened with the website address. Those kits are great and come in their own dry bag.
  14. Aide first aid kits Aide Staffing Solutions : Home. Everything you need man
  15. I climb srt 'yosemite style' two ascenders with foot loops and ascender to bridge in spikes works really well, and fast, can rest easily and i find alot easier than more traditional arb methods. My roots are from wall climbing so guess im more used to it.
  16. Nah i dont work for them. Just a small crew we do work for the council here to though. So we been getting more work on removals cause they're down on crew. Yeah i heard it's not to hard to get on... They definitely need more people. I think they have an exchange with U.K so might be worth a look on they're website
  17. Heya i live in queenstown and everything you want to do on your holiday is here except for surfing. The rockclimbing ia awesome as is the climbing in milford sound, new zealands yosemite.. The area is awesome if you only gotta month and you want to tick all your boxes for a good time. Work wise asplundh are desperate as they keep breaking their workers.. But otherwise the other arb businesses have openings from time to time... You'll love new zealand whatever you do
