  1. That would be nice. As I've said can't fault them so far. I've been recommending them to all the local lads so should hopefully sell well. Not sure who was selling some on arbtrader, but it takes more than 4 hours to work them in
  2. Which tachyon. Look at getting a ZZ and I've got the New England one
  3. Size seems to be spot on imo. Don't let the stiffness fool you if you try some on, they soon loosen up
  4. I agree. The heel is a good size for spikes to sit in, also been good without and all the trees have been slippy buggers with the weather recently
  5. Two pairs! They obviously didn't want bad feedback as you didn't get any first time round.
  6. How's everyone getting on with the boots? I have to say I can't fault mine
  7. There was a large Douglas on the driveway down to the hotel, it was right next to river hell of a tree! Probably a 5/10 min walk back towards dunkeld. Some magnificent trees around there
  8. Unfortunately I'm with the Mrs Dunkeld Hilton, grand spot. It's right on the river. Going to have breakfast then go for a walk
  9. At a wedding in Scotland today and decided to have a walk whilst the Mrs gets ready with the bride! Anyway found a nice silver fir Going to have a good look around tomorrow and see what else I can find

    Xmas TV ads

Yeah there crap! Seem to get earlier each year! I wouldn't mind if they started in December, like they should
  11. I've had a set of corona for about 5 years now, never let me down. Nice and light so can't complain
  12. Ended up doing the majority of it today. New bearings in and fins, all back together and working like a dream. Sounds like a brand new chipper! Thanks again for the link
  13. Cheers. Turns out I've got someone helping me who works for akinson vos so all good. That guide is spot on
  14. Has anyone done this? If so how did how did you access the fly wheel? Did you use bearing pullers? Please help as I've been told it's my job job tomorrow
  15. They are sturdy indeed. Mine have loosened up a little and are feeling good. Today it was a widespread ash removal about 60 to 70ft, so spikes went in at lots of different angles and felt very supportive
  16. Used them all day in spikes and found them comfortable and have no complaints so far. My Buckinghams sit nicely in the midsole. Has anyone else had spikes on yet?
  17. I'll be on spikes Wednesday I think so will let you know. I believe the older scafells were uncomfortable on them, but they seemed bulky when I tried them on. These are far better
  18. The black ones that I picked up for my boss had socks as well so seems you've been unlucky, probably a packing error. Mine cost £179, not bothered for a quid though as the shops about a mile away. Worn them all day and have been comfortable. Need some breaking in though I think. Won't be climbing till next week so will report back then
  19. Sure they will. The orange laces come with the black ones so prob come with blue aswell
  20. Yeah got the orange laces aswell don't think they quite go with the green though, but good for spares. Got mine from local dealer
  21. Got some this morning. They had been in the shop five minutes and had to unpack the delivery for me! First impression seems very good, they even came with socks
  22. Glad you've said Jon totally forgot, means I can have another beer before bedtime
  23. It was a good day. Good to meet you, and thanks for the hospitality
  24. Where about. Seems strange!!
  25. You could try Adrian Ball. I only know him as frogsy so think that's his name.
