The 150tce is perfectly capable for 90% of the reductions we do. I'm a utility arborist so it does just fine for my clearance jobs. I love it as it saves taking a 201 and a silky and you barely feel it on the harness. It leaves lovely pruning cuts and the chains are cheap so why not. It's not a 201t but it's horses for courses and if your gonna 1 hand then far better with a 150tce than a 201t!

I'd love a 14" pro lite bar for a 201t please if you can spare one please rob. I've had a stihl rollomatic 14" bar and have a suspicion it's a tad bent as I'm having to force it a little in the big wood. Also the sugihara looks really good so I may just be looking for an excuse! Keep stocking the top notch gear rob!

If you climb at work on a Prussik then climb on a Prussik. Remember smooth is fast and fast is smooth! Worth using a cambium saver defo like! Be smooth though and remember to clip your strop up!

There are lots of climbers who do the 3ATC comps on Prussiks, don't worry about it and have fun! That cedar is a great tree to climb and Paul, Tony and Nick will do all they can to put you at ease. As far as setup goes use what you're comfortable with, I've always gone hitch climber as it's my day to day setup. I wish I'd been able to get there but I'm in Spain this week on holiday!

I know, the techlite bars are really soft. Yes it's still a 52 link chain for the Oregon bars. Even better change the chain as well to the non anti kickback ones and it'll be even better!

Nobody I work with likes the techlite bars. Oregon bar makes a big difference.

A colleague of mine uses a 395xp and I use an ms660 with the same 30 inch bar and the husky makes my 660 look like a baby. However my stihl is far more reliable!

I tend to watch tree work videos on YouTube from time to time while the wife is watching crappy reality tv shows and I watched all of August's videos today and I have to say they are really well put together. Not only is the tree work top notch but also the camera work and creativity as well as the choice of music. Keep them coming August!

I can't recommend tachyon enough! Great allrounder, works well with textile i.e hitches and mechanical devices. I have 2 of them, a long one and a shorter one. I would say however that the teufelberger tachyon is noticably softer than the regular tachyon and would therefore opt for the normal tachyon and I'm not overly keen on the slaice eyes.

Amen to that! And it works a treat! A sharp chain is a must when using the spear cut though, especially on larger limbs.
