  1. yes love the idea mate:thumbup1:, how do you find your ranger? what age is it? thanks
  2. yh i have to agree mate, but which one would you choose? would you then use a tipping trailer or unload the chip/logs from the pickup untill it gets converted into a tipper costing around 3 k
  3. Thanks mate, ideally would like 4x4, its ok saying you dont need it but i sold a vitara to get my van and do miss 4wd!! As with the 4wd and big tipping trailer tt105 or tt126, i suppose you would need a partner with a suitable veichle to pull the chipper? unless you load it on trailer and then leave a bit of room for it ? thanks mate
  4. HI All, as the title suggests im in the market for a new truck, 106 van & trailer getting a bit worn out:biggrin: Ideally i would love a 4x4 as is ideal for shooting etc out of work, and been in iveco tippers when they are stuck (tipping chip on grass) heres the info i gather/have been told , please tell me your thoughts, then hopefully i will have a bigger list of pros and cons and will then be able to get a new arb truck any help would be much appreciated, ideally a tipper would be better but i guess theres always room for a converion on the king/super cabs. mitsi l200 - problems with headgaskets, but overall reasonably priced, good, strong hilux 2.5 - very reliable, very expensive, navara - conrod problems ranger - good but heard they fall apart, and thirsty landy tipper - easy to maintain, strong, very expensive transit/cabstar - not 4wd, but tipper, common as muck thanks:001_smile:

  6. Thought i would upload a couple of pics from earlier, The job was to thin out certain areas, in pheasant pens etc. It was on a really wet farm, timber was cut last month but only just been dry enough for me to extract it . New Holland t 3030, 4wd diff lock, 12 speed, fantastic tool, borrowed it from the farm along with 3tonne tipping trailer to move the logs, the tractor is so nimble i was able to get in the tight spots (polaris ranger track) pulled the trailer full no problem, tommorows job is felling massive poplars on another part of the farm, happy days:thumbup:
  7. [/ATTACH] This is what i have been using today, and the first pic is 9 loads later:thumbup1: new holland t 3030, 4wd, diff lock, and gp 3 tonne tipping trailer, I moved about 14 tonne of logs/lengths today, mixed oak, ash, alder and birch. the job was on a game farm, the timber was my payment:001_smile:, profits will be invested in a ms 660 & 36" mill

    Fishing tips?

have fun mate , personally i would try the shallows with floting bait on a needle float, such as floating bread, small shots on the leader to sink the line slightly, in this weather they will be rising, try it and see, if this fails try corn, meat boilies or halibot pellets on the bottom, or go with the maggot feeder
  18. i guess some one will buy it but it wont be me!!
