  5. Hi folks. Needing a new chain for my Husky 350 with a 15" bar as I have quite enjoyed my wee bit carving. Is semi-chisel the best bet? Would I need to do anything else to the chain etc. Thanks in advance. Brian
  6. Got some Rowan and had been thinking for a while 'I could do that'. Well almost!!! Got some 24 grit and 120 grit discs and finished them off. Still a long way to go.
  7. Found this on youtube. Not sure if it's been posted before. Now I might not be the best at sharpening and I know it's been covered a lot but it's a good one to show when to sharpen!! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqcAPmtftvU]chainsaw carving a mushroom - YouTube[/ame] PS not sure if this will work.
  8. Do they have to be seasoned or can I use green birch perhaps? Cheers
  9. Have you tried mixing in a drier. I mix 50/50 turps and linseed oil or 50/50 meths and linseed oil. Helps the oil dry and sets up a barrier. That way it doesn't soak in as much oil. I've used it on outside wooden furniture and it even works on slate tiles etc. Not sure if it will give you the finish you require.
  10. Bartoline do a 5 litre for about £16. You should manage to get that locally from a paint merchant and maybe get a trade discount.
  11. Going to give it a try and see if I can upload some photos. Looks like it's going to work!
  12. Brill, thanks guys. Will keep it 50:1 as it saves another container of 2 stroke mix as well!!! Cheers Brian

  17. Hi Folks. I've got an Etesia PSE with a 2 stroke Susuki engine. it's not new by any means. I'm running it at 50:1 the same as the huskys, but don't want to do any harm. Is this a strong enough mix? Many thanks in advance. Brian
