  1. i used a piece of nylon rod from b&q tapered the end to fit the hole then taped it in and got a soldering iron to just melt the edge of the hole so the bung can not just drop out but can be forced out if a blockage happens make shore you do not go to deep with the bung as it will block off the oil to the bar when you look in the hole you can see the hole on the left that that oils the bar so do not cover that hole hope this helps bill

  3. Easy to change to electronic ignition just fit a nova or sic1 chip to the case no more points to worry about . Just cut the wire to the points attach it to the nova screw the nova or sic1 to the strimmer all finished. I just converted a kt12 worked a treat if you do fit the nova it has 2 contacts 1 neg 1 pos one lead go's to earth if you get no spark just swap the leads over hope this helps bill

  5. HI BARRIE GOT THE WHEELS OF THE LAWN TRACTOR WITH A PULLER BUT HAD TO DRILL 2 X 10MM HOLES TO DO IT. I USED A 3/8 EXTENSION BAR TO PUSH ON THE SHAFT WHICH IN TURN PULLED THE WHEEL OFF WHAT DO YOU THINK?

  7. Hi do any of you have the carb setting for the main jet on the rotary type carb? is it 1 1/2 turns out from seated the customer has had a play now it will not run so i need to set it back but can not remember the setting for these rotary carbs bill
  8. just checked another forum this is the repair kit 9134 381 1230 shows up as a grub screw but this is the fix apparently thank you gardenkit for your help bill

  10. ok i can see what has happened they have sent me the vent on the side for the oil tank i need the blanking plug for the oil way by the exhaust i think it is normally orange or red can you please give me the part number for this part? bill
  11. can you guys please tell me the part number for the oil tank breather which sits in a hole by the exhaust my dealer come up with 1128 640 9100 but this will not fit? bill
  12. i am a comptent welder in tig, mma, mig. to BS standered this is not the problem as you say the time it takes to strip the saw down + the cost of the az91 rod to mach the magnesiam used in the saw in the first case ( £800 for a 2kg pack ) it would take years to get your money back. i am not shore if my insurance would cover this type of repair? so i think it will be a replacment case or the customer takes the saws away bill
  13. Have any of the workshop guys tryed to tig weld the case of a chainsaw i see there are a few videos of this on youtube i would not like to take this on my self what do you guys think? big cost involved as well the magnesium rods are £800 for a 2kg pack ( minium they will sale ) bill

  15. thanks look forward to helping where i can. I have just started a small garden machinery workshop in hayle cornwall my background is in 4 stroke as my ex boss delt with the 2 stroke stuff so i am having to learn on the fly bill
  16. 40Khz freq my one has 3 transducers and is very efective bill
  17. slack off flywheel nut & pry up on flywheel tap counter balance side of flywheel with nylon hammer ( do not hit magnet side )should pop off do not use a leg puller you will damage flywheel also do not hit crankshaft unless you have a knock off tool to protect crankshaft ( i split a crankshaft when i was training as a mechanic by hitting the crankshaft ) bill
