    i have had machines take 20 mins or more to burn off the oil another way is remove the spark plug spray carb cleaner in the plug hole to brake down the oil this will normally clear it quicker i agree with gardenkit on getting a better quality mower even the mountfields b&q sale are chinese rubbish

    just run it it will clear buy mat take a while to burn off the oil i have had it with hondas may take 20min to 30mins to clear sometimes bill

    have you tried Midland Power Machinery Distributors they sale tygon & other fuel lines in 25ft rools not always cheap my last order for fuel line was over £175

    i was waiting for that Rich it had to be you now comes the strange bit the piston is only cracked on the top there is no crack on the side no scoring of the piston or cylinder very strange.

    Bought a sealey borescope first time charging it the charging socket broke so sent it back to the suppler for a replacement first time i used it found a crack in a piston on a echo hc1500

    yes you can plastic weld it i do it all the time the problem is getting the filler rod the same colour i can only get black or yellow at the moment

    what part of Cornwall there are some good workshops but i do not have any info on anyone doing tuning work in Cornwall bill

    if you are plastic welding make shore you degrease the surface well i normally put a v grove along the crack then heat it up with a hot air plastic welder the important thing is to use the same type of plastic to make shore it bonds properly. I have not repaired a husky tank but have repaired a few strimmer tanks without any problems hope this helps bill

    has it got electric clutch if so check this also check the battery as a bad battery can stall a engine with electric clutch. If not then check the belt pulleys / blade spindles to make shore they are not stuck sounds like something is rusted solid if it stalls the engine

    Never had reason to us clean them as they are so easy to clean i can not see any problem as long as you use the right chemical

    in the post? i just went in the guy took my name & address showed my c+g 383 & rtitb certificates and he just gave me the card there and then up to 75% off parts 20% tools

    thanks spud tried maplins, cpc could not help i will strip it down and get a pic of the switch it is a non lock plunger type in a diesel tune glow plug tester so you press till ampage stabilizes then read of the time in seconds 5,10,15, 20 sec

    ok spud i need a switch for a glow plug tester round momentary type 4 terminals 1 set n/c 1 set n/o 8 amp 12v any ideas?

    roofix from toolstation works a treat will even when wet not cheep around £45 for 5 lt 1lt will do 1 square meter do not skimp on it this has a 10 yr warranty

    try the valve from a bmx tube it may be a softer spring in a bike tube

    have you thought about plastic welding the tank any good body workshop will have plastic welding equipment this is the kits i use PLASTIC WELDER KIT WELDING WELDER BUMPER MW80 | eBay or 1500W Top Plastic Hot Air Welder/Speed Welding Kit | eBay have had good results with both as been said before make shore the surface is very clean to get a good weld

    this saw has also been sold as sovereign, performance power as well as others you may have luck this way this is the way i went when i needed a oil pump for one. I may have a second hand coil if you are interested i will check when i am down the workshop tomorrow . pm me if you are interested
