  1. You're just being silly... Don't need an envelope, just stick a label on it
  2. Take a foot off the top, it'll be fine:001_tongue:
  3. Ivy Hedera helix
  4. Ben Said in post 10 that the planning app was to build on the footprint of the existing unused garage. To the right of the house is what looks to be a garage, behind a fence, so I assume that there is an existing drop kerb. It looks tight, but I wondered if two cars could park facing the division hedge between the two properties. Hope that makes sense:biggrin:
  5. Thinking outside the box. Is there room to use the existing drop kerb to the garage to access the potential parking spaces.
  6. Sorbus aria -Whitebeam
  7. :biggrin:Speak for yourself
  8. Not 100% certain. I've never heard of the term 'activity test', but that's basically what a fluorescence test is.
  9. I only read the brochure yesterday, that's an interesting list of speakers.
  10. That! It's difficult if you're not already practiced or skilled in writing.
  11. Probably more of a case that the L6 is crammed into 2 years:biggrin:
  12. You know that old adage? When you owe the bank a hundred pounds, it's your problem. But when you owe the bank a million it's theirs! I know which one I'd be.
  13. Around £700 if you go for the field trip, three days of conference and the annual diner (last years cost) Last year was my first - three days and dinner, and worth going to.
  14. That's not the case now. If you fail an ident you don't get any marks, even if you're correct in its decay mode.
  15. I'm sure that I remember correctly, because I'd always rounded up myself.
  16. We were told to round down in class. Why? I never thought to ask at the time.
  17. How long has that root been bothering ya?
  18. Thank's Tom, I wondered if you were on the gulf stream side. The clients going with the 'bosh it' option, so we'll do that in the next week or two and see what it does.
  19. Thanks Jon, although it's well away from arboriculture it's still interesting.
  20. I was told to round down:confused1:
  21. What Andy said. You have consent (assuming it's still within the time limit).
  22. Giles Biddle has a photo of a property where heave is continuing after 30+ years (after tree removal) A complex subject
  23. Excellent answer Jon. Can you elaborate on the anti-heave measures or suggest some further reading, please?
  24. Brings back memories of a taxonomy assignment:biggrin:
  25. In hedges, yes. Juvenile wood reshoots otherwise beech wouldn't be suitable as a hedging plant. Did you think I meant trees?
