A customer today showed us the newspaper at it says that there's a NEW storm on its way... Even more work for us all!

Extremely busy day today, we had 7 calls before 10am and 13 in total. Did 5 jobs today, and back on it tomorrow and Wednesday. The worst one was a silver birch had uprooted and landed/crushed a garage roof, ripping all the guttering and felt etc off and also smashed a fence and dented the customers brand new (1 week old) Tarmac driveway! It also pulled down the customers and 3 neighbours telephone line.

I'm not saying that we are or aren't professionals... BUT, what does it say on your business cards, emails, websites, letter heads, invoices, leaflets etc...? Does it have your name and underneath does it say 'professional tree surgeon'? Or professional arborist? Etc etc etc? -

Not sure if this comment is on track or not, but the other day, the customer asked me if we all hated each other as we are always shouting to/at each other... I had never really thought about it before she asked, but it's actually quite true. But no, I like working with everyone who I work for -
Put you've got to spend ages unloading it at the end of the day! Unless you pay for a tipper to be fitted!

Do you need a crew cab or would you rather have cupboards/lockers? The question is how many people do you usually take to a job? If its more than two/three then you could always ask them to meet you on site (depending if there employed or self employed) or you could take two vehicles to each job as the little jimmy/fourtrack won't cost a lot to run. Alternativey you could get a crew cab pick up, ranger, hilux, L200 etc and take your work force to the jobs in that and then have your truck with lockers/cupboards for two, your kit and the Logs/chip etc. Decisions decisions!!
