  1. After lots of research, hours and hours! I have decided that the Great Wall steed is the one for me! Enough power, enough speed, good price, reliable and the parts are easily accessible and at a good price. I also like the idea that it's in a cheaper insurance bracket compared to the others. Called up the local (not so local) garage/dealer and I've booked a test drive! If that's a no go and I decide I don't like it, I'll be looking into the Navara and the Isuzu again. I have a ranger (Mazda b2500) now and am very pleased with it. It's been great! But I'd just like to upgrade to something newer. I'll keep you all updated in the process. Thanks all for your advice and opinions... I appreciate it very much.
  2. I use trust for my PL as well. Good price and never had problems They also include things others couldn't. Highly recommend them
  3. Yes it is mate!
  4. That's a very good way of putting it! I like it
  5. Just out of interest, how much is it for sale for and what's your budget? Cheers
  6. Looks nice Lets just hope they make it a bit more reliable than they are now! Not keen on the windscreen/window colours though. Looks like a child has coloured them in on paint! It'd be a great quote car!
  7. This one didn't upload in the previous post.
  8. These are my two
  9. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best of luck with your business/charity venture.
  10. A good friend of mine told me that a defender can be repaired with only a few tools in the middle of a field, whereas more modern trucks need to be plugged in. Also landrover parts are cheap and easily accessible. Is most of your work domestic/town work or is it mostly commercial/in fields and on farms etc?
  11. My brother did it in 2012, in 6 days. He's in the process of being a professional cyclist. Myself and my dad drove the journey and met them each night. Averaged 110 miles each day.
  12. I'm looking into them now They look pretty trick... Adam, how do you find them? Nice drive? Good off road? Comfortable? Reliable? Is it easy to get parts for them? Cheers
  13. What year is your Navara? Cheers
  14. Okay, thank you for correcting me. I just presumed! Cheers Treequip.
  15. My budget is anything from £0-£10,000 out right but will consider finance for a newer one
  16. Just looking at upgrading, and correct me if I'm wrong, it's not that hard to move a winch from one truck to another? Just a case of different fixings etc? Am I right?
  17. Looking at all three as possibilities... If its brand new it'll have to be on finance. Cheers
  18. Cheers Hodge. I prefer to be on the right side of the insurance companies, even if I do have to pay a little bit more! Better to be safe than sorry. I'll have a look at the super winch and do some research into it
  19. Thanks for the advice monkey business. I never thought about the battery use age, but very important. I'll have a look into the two winches which you said about. Thanks again
  20. Thanks all for your comments. I'll look into the D Max. Thanks again.
  21. Yes, I am, but I'm looking to buy within the next 5/6 months. And it won't be too much drama to change the winch to the next truck.
  22. Hi all, I am looking into upgrading to a Volkswagen Amorak, or maybe something different. At the moment I've got a Mazda B2500, on a 2001 plate. My choices are either: > Volkswagen Amorak > Ford Ranger > Toyota Hilux > Mitsibushi L200 I like the look of Nissan Navaras but from what I've been told and from what I've read they are too unreliable, and are costly to repair. I would like your opinions on which one is best for all round driving - including on and off road, town and motorway driving, mpg, towing, reliability, prices, etc etc. Many thanks for reading this and I look forward to hearing from you all. Cheers and Happy New Year!
  23. Anyone be able to help?
  24. Fair enough buddy, everyone has different ways of doing things
  25. Haha, yes... I just wanted to make it clear to use them just to get into the tree!! Skyhucks comment didn't really like the idea of ladders.
