  1. Well. Here is the thing. We are not looking at many guests. Me mum and stepdad, her mum and dad, will invite my own sister but not sure if she will come. Plus maybe 5 friends. That's about it. Don't want loads of people there, and couldn't. Both our families will do nothing it have fights. Would turn into a right brawl. And we just don't want that. Hd an email back and the price of the actual ceremony is not that much. I'm looking at a budget of about 800, but this can give or take a couple of hundred. The way we both see it is a nice simple ceremony and a blooming good knees up after.
  2. Update on the moped. The engine is stripped. The pot is nice, no scoring or marks, the piston is the same. No visual markings telling me the head gaskets is leaking. Measured the ring thickness, the bottom ring is the same all the way round. 1.67-8mm, the top ring is worn on one part. Goes from 1.68 down to 1.54 on the back edge. (Exhaust) so uneven wear. Might be enough that when engine is hot its just a that point. For little money its going to get replaced anyway.
  3. Cheers ted. A couple of easy lift harnesses would go down a treat.:lol:
  4. Not to derail this but I've got three bags of them. Effing lovely. Mark. I would love to come and let you sing. Not sur ethe missis would like it but has to for the comedy value alone.:lol:

The lifeboat bringing in the casualty yacht earlier. I was on the dock waiting to help tie it up.
  7. Looking at getting a registry office wedding. Me and the other want to get hitched, but we don't want a big do with loads of people. Some close family and friends but that's it. Nothing more. To be honest our families don't get on, we don't want most of them about, so no point in going big. Just a small affair, then we can blow a huge budget on honeymoon and go somewhere good. So does anyone know how it all works and how to go about it. Sent a few emails out to local places.

  12. Yep worth fixing even if it is a husky........ The l and h saw go for factory at first and see how the saw runs. Would reccomened tacking the saw to be sure. The bigger bore shouldn't be an issue but with a tach you will find out. Meteor do a piston kit but not sure about a pot. They are good IMO. The next is golf I think. Spud will say what ones are best. I've only used original or meteor so can't comment on any other makes. Just keep away form the cheep Chinese rubbish. It will cost you more when it goes wrong.
  13. Get into trouble the help is on here bud.
  14. It staking the carb off and removing the covers. Stripping it down basically. Doesn't take hat long. But once its off make sure you clean it before taking it apart. A spray of wd40 and an airline helps, or a paint brush. The hiss does sound forcefull. But a vent only works one way, it lets air in but to out. If the tank is holding pressure then that's ok.
  15. I would say 2 seconds, one second to lift the sledge the other to bring it down. Cast iron doesn't like shocks.........
  16. The employment forum has been changed so no one expet mods and original poster can put anything as there was a few threads destroyed by unwanted replys.
  17. Now I'm going for a bit of a stab at this Felix. The bulb only brings up enough fuel to get the pressure up. After that the engine does the rest. Is the plug getting wet after trying to start? I would look into the diaphragm, in the carb. Or the impulse line, I wouldn't get stuck on the hiss from the tank. It's only from pressure that is a good thing as it pressurises the tank pushing fuel up to carb.
  18. Lol ted. I will have that hat........... Just a matter of time. my persistence and annoyance will make him yield. You should see that battle going on on Facebook at the mo. most fun I've had on ages. well since the show anyway, As you said then ted good job dan got them before I got there.... There would have been riot police at the show.
  19. I'm going to do a countdown. Wen one bag is empty I'm going to take a pic. And when I've uploaded two empty bags that means there will only be one bag left..........
  20. Hmmm. I've got an extra bag of peanut butter ones............. I have tried the pretzel ones and didn't got much on them. I tried to off load them onto the kids but they didn't like them either. In the end they where in my bedroom and the dog got in and had the half bag that was left. So I've got an extra bag and you've got a real tree camo stihl cap......... Wink wink. Hint hint.
  21. Urm. Anyone notice the husky looks spotless like it has never been used yet the stihls are filthy.............
  22. Hmmm. Ok so the other halts daughter found out she was pregnant about 6 month ago. She had only just turned 16, the lad she is with is a waster, into nothing but drugs (weed). I can't stand the little what not.(really trying not to swear) and he will not come near the house while I'm here. But. It takes two to tango. I'm my eyes she is just as to blame or in fault as he is as they should both have known better. These things happen and its a case of asses adapt and overcome. We know what will happen when this baby arrives, just a case of preparing for it. As much as anyone call tell them they will not listen and do exactly the opposite of what you say. I'm prepared for it all to hit the fan. Sort of. I know how your feeling at the mo. it's just waiting for it to turn nasty. But there is naff all you can do about it. Sorry not much help.
  23. Empty. Or made space rather. I can't wait till my boy joins me in the workshop. But he is a lot smarter than to be just a tech.
  24. Ssshhhh don't say too loud, the missis will have a fit. A right good learner. He was waiting all afternoon for me aswell. A well chuffed dad I am.
  25. Come home tonight to help my son change the chain on the stihl battery saw I got him at the show. He said it was blunt and needed changing for the spare. So side by side he changed his with some guidance from me and I brought home an ms181, and change s the chain on that at the same time. His chain is now sharper he said. A good job well done. Will soon be next to me at the bench learning the trade.
