  1. I wish, they belong to the farmer where my workshop is. There are only 8 of the marshals in England and he owns 3, driven most of them tho, he might be selling a couple to make some room
  2. Just want to feel normal again. Tablets are not working anymore struggle to hold food now and feel tired 24-7.
  3. In for new crank oil seals and new sump gaskets Ford 7000
  4. Chuck some fuel into the inlet and see if it fires. Could be geting to carb but not going through it. Main jet blocked
  5. +1 for this method. It's just easier.

We have had 7 shouts so far this year. Nothing in the past two weeks. But then silly yacht season hasn't started for us yet. I'm on call this weekend so waiting for it. That is a tragic incident. Sadly there seems to be more people looking to go boating as we have seen an increase in boats being moored up this year waiting for the sunny stuff.
  7. The the underneath of the body. Used the original bolt holes again. But drilled them out and used bigger bolts. We did drill into the cross members and put a few more in just for safety but to be honest it wasn't needed.
  8. Where the truck was already raised with the big wheels and old man emu suspension. The tipper subframe was on the large size and wish I had asked before as I would have asked for smaller section rather and 4 by 2
  9. You can see the original bolting areas and the angle used to join the tipper body.
  10. Here is the tipper conversion I done for you to get a good look at. If you have any questions just let me know. It was surprisingly easy really, and using the truckman and original body meant that there was less chance of it being overloaded.
  11. You will be fine. There will be more worrying things on the ferry like fuel tankers. If it's in your car there is no problem. Just don't get them out and start waving them around I guess.....
  12. Then I would take it apart and clean it out. Check meter arm height. And ensure the gauze filter inside is clean. Also check the Impulse line is attached and not broken or split.
  13. Nah this stop is factory fitted. Can't see why it would not be allowed to feed out on hydraulics. Have to free wheel, bit dangerous IMO. Anyway removed the ratchet device today and pulled the truck, then pulled a fastrac. Both on slopes and it held fine. So if it pulls a 5t fastrac and itself (3.5t truck) and holds then I'm going to say it will pull trees over fine.
  14. Carb issues. Could be the accelerator pump playing around. If you have a known good carb or another saw swap the carbs over. If it continues it's something else.
  15. No one? 67 views and no one can tell me... 6t winch by the way. Hydraulic driven. I know spool blocks will take in excess of 15t by agri ones on tractors and hold the pressure easily. It's the same type of spool block fitted to a Massey. So I guess it will take the strain. Only problem I guess would be if a pipe was to burst.
  16. Got a hydraulic winch that only winds in it free spools out but doesnt work out, taken the hyd motor Off and there is a toothed gear with a stop that means it locks for out now way to override it. Taken this out and it works both ways, what are the thoughts on leavin. This out and letting the spool block take the back pressure???

What an afternoon that was..... Went down station for lunch, and they where working on the boat. A steering hyd ram end seal was leaking, so a new ram turned up. They had spent the morning trying to fit it. So I jumped in and helped. Got it fitted by about 5 but on testing the seal had blown. So after some thoughts a divisional technician was sent down as the lifeboat was off service. So after me and the tech had head scratched we decided to take the end cap off the old one and put it on the new one. Two hours later it was fixed and not leaking. The seal on the new ram had Ben pinched on fitting. A new seal kit had been better but the shops had shut and one delivered from Poole would have not got here until morning. But boat back on service and all fixed. A good knowledge learnt from my life in ag had come into play. And the best ish part is after talking to the tech and the divisional staff they have offered me a sort of job. My name is head of the list to be a div tech... 25k per year... Not sure what to do.
