  2. At the risk of hijacking this thread, my fox red lab gave birth to a litter of gorgeous pips at beginning of December so has been out of action this year. Still one dog left to find a home. Ready end of jan. pm me if interested .

  4. As above i am looking for a reliable groundsman/ labourer for regular work, Approx 3 days a week (sometimes more) Mainly tree work, but there will be some planting, fencing etc cs 30 is essential and other units an advantage driving license an advantage,
  5. I pull my jenson about with a little 2wd Honda 300 Not really on top of its job but it's get over ruffish ground down muddy tracks , fields etc where you wouldn't take the van or want to push it

  14. Nearly right. Citb is the old Cpcs. Cpcs is the equivalent of cscs but for machine operators and the color of Cpcs represents the length of time held and the level of qualification reached

  16. Just a thought. But Surley once upon a time. Stupid / careless / thick people would hurt themselves early into there career and get out of the industry and go find a job serving burgers in mcdonalds, now we Molly coddle them along in a politically correct way causing them to have more responsibility and therefore when they eventually do have that inevitable accident it's more serious, increasing statistics with the end result being everybody has a stoopid amount of hoops to jump thru just to days work, this raising the cost of that days work dramaticley. Don't get me wrong. Tickets have there place and we should all have to prove our competence. But this what they should be for and not just a money maker for people, that don't make anything or anyone any safer Rant over

  20. If we all stuck to sensible prices instead of undercutting each other we"as an industry" could command fair rates and and we'd all make a decent living as we used to. Too many MUGS prepared to work for peanuts messing up for all of us I don't see plumbers and sparkys dropping there rates. They work on the theory that if it needs doing the customer will have to pay.

    About me; i'm 33, i'm a competant climber, have been climbing for 5 years,i hold nptc cs 30,31,36,38,39,41, . Pa1 pa2 &pa6 (spraying) i have a full clean uk driving licence all categorys upto class one artic / hgv (equivalent to the aussie hgv combination i think) A cpcs tractor operator ticket

    i grew up with an agricultural background and worked on farm and contracting for the first few years of my career and then started doing tree work about ten years ago as a groudie thru the busy times of year,hgv driving the rest of the time.

    I took a year off in 2006 and spent most of that travelling oz, working for a brief spell to top up funds, driving a 360 excavtor in WA for a clay spreading contractor
