Just on the local North East news that thieves have been into the Xmas tree growing area at Hamsterley Forest and stolen a significant number of trees - not only that, they also took the "Hidden" surveillance cameras installed to protect them !

Another one for your Calendar - East Anglian Game & Country fair is on 27th & 28th April at the Norfolk Showground near Norwich Not sure if there are carving competitions, but certainly demonstrations. Has a Forestry section with climbing & cutting competitions
