Here is the smaller 35cc saw ps-352 and in makita ea-3601 a different design altogether from anything you have seen from Dolmar a very neat light design the second strato design engine they’ve done but this one has had more Japanese influence and it’s very slimline and balanced it’s more like the husqvarna 242 , 42 special and handle and Av is similar too the tanaka 4501

  7. Hello Steve as others have said just touch it and it’ll stop the lock function is meant for workshop use so service engineers can lock the saw In the off position for safety as this saw will start if it sees somebody touching the cord

Thanks Steve that brake band band is very hard too find , they do come up once in a blue moon but at the moment this is going to be your best bet the only one I got is on a fully working saw http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOLMAR-MAKITA-6000i-6800i-CHAINSAW-GENUINE-CLUTCH-COVER-BRAKE-HANDLE/263119175018?hash=item3d431ffd6a:g:fFsAAOSw5n5ZgOu7

  14. Yes it is a nice location and yes agree the numbers where down , I expected a lot more people there I was in the wood workers corner most of the day there where several visitors coming in asking questions and looking the one thing I did notice was the smaller percentage of hand forestry tools plenty of huge priced equipment
  15. Hey stubby that'll be a good game today it'll be a close call both your teams are looking good this year
  16. Yes we had a win as well , made up for last week so maria's wasps could go Top of the league tomorrow
  17. Can't comment on stihl but husqvarna 445 or 450 good reliable saws one less than £400 the other just over £400 and if I was putting a saw your way for the work you describe I say have a Dolmar ps-420
  18. Some good comments for you think about which ever small saw you get you'll always want too cut more than you where planning for , but which ever you opt for run good fuel and top grade two stroke oil and keep its gills clean

Had some good feedback this year so far from customers who've purchased Dolmar and makita outdoor power equipment this year , interest is growing every year the ranges of the mm4 4-stroke engined tools is growing and although not quite as zippy as a 2-stroke motor , the quietness and vibration is fantastic and fuel economy is much better so coupled with aspen savings can be made on everyday use the battery range is widening and improving this is a avenue makita is renowned for and now the garden and tree care range of equipment is worth indulging looking forward too seeing members of the forum @confor on friday
