  1. Green / wet wood ?
  2. Well they arnt going to fleece you and me bud !
  3. Ok . You know best . I am 61 and never going up a tree again so I don't give a flying feck ! . Seriously you are absolutely correct .
  4. BUT ....the thing is you could do that with an 020/ms200t and all that would break would be the little plastic spigot on the chain brake handle which does not matter a hoot . If you are cutting and chucking you need to drop the saw and grab the limb and chuck it past the green house / plants / raspberrys etc .... Now you cant .
  5. Yea . Anything is possible given enough time and money and engineering prowess . May be not economical but possible ...
  6. Explained to the seller that it is a Chinese Zomax re badged as a Husqvarnw 395 and is in fact 52cc pile of poo ...but hey ho !
  7. Ok . Old stubby will have to wear that one !
  8. I am guessing you are very careful rather than lucky !
  9. I was jesting really Just high lighting the good points of each saw
  10. The bar will last about 400 years and the saw about 4 weeks !
  11. Any one tried putting a T540 engine in an old MS 200T chassis ...?
  12. What Ian has said . Get a 3/8 7 and 8 pin . You can swap between the two and make your choice and you can still use a standard chain loop .
  13. It wont in fresh air but it might in the cut .....
  14. Rook pate on toast for starters .....

  16. 2 days before the rooks and squirrels .....
  17. Drive links in the chain loop . Standard loop wont be long enough once you go more than one tooth up on the sprocket ....
  18. Might do but the squirrels have to put them there for it to work

Prada do a rather elegant diamonte one ( or so I'm told )
  20. Nothing is set in stone and its only my opinion but obviously the shorter the bar the higher the gearing you can run . May have to add a driver or two if you go above 8 pin in either pitch .
  21. The squirrels seem to dry them in the air filter pan of an old Ford Mondeo .....You try that
  22. I think the standard 7 pin 3/8 is very slightly faster than an 8 pin .325 ( I run the 8 pin .325 on an 18" bar ) Once you start upping the gearing beyond that you run the risk of sacrificing some torque and possible plug fouling as the saw might not " rev out " due to the higher gearing . However 7 pin .325 is a joke on that saw ......
  23. Maybe that self powered multi blade jobbie that dangles from a helicopter ?
  24. Ok Rubin mate. I'm only winding you up bud ! . You are right of course matey .
  25. [quote name=doobin;1177719 I'm all about the right tools for the job. You change the bar on your saw according to what you're cutting' date=' why should strimming be any different? [/quote] On one hand you say " change the bar according to what you are cutting " why should strimming be any different ....and on the other hand you say " 2.4 is all you need " :001_smile: :001_smile:
