Hello I bought a second hand Stihl MS 260 C off ebay. It ran well when I picked it up but no wood to test it on. I have since found that it wont cut well due to choking when cutting. Ive only bought it to reduce stumps before grinding. Anyone have an idea why this might be happening? The chain is new so it cant be that. Ive probably just been done with a shit old saw! Thanks

You are right. I've had a stump grinder from them recently. Top blokes and quality kit.

I've just checked the blades and the anvil before it gets picked up. Blunt and blunt and the gap between is massive. What a waste of a day. Mason Woodchippers is close to me so I'll hire from him next time as I know the machine will be perfect. Had to get this one from Brandon Hire because they deliver as my van needs a new engine! Hello everybody. Could someone with a TW13/75 please send me a picture of the blades and set up, looking down the feed chute. I've had one on hire today and it was a load of rubbish. First time I've hired one and it didnt perform like any of the videos I watched. Had to force each piece in before it would chip. Clogged up loads. Chips more like shreds. I'm thinking it was missing its anvil. Thanks

Hate the litter in an around my little village. It all seems to be fast food packets from passing cars like has been mentioned. Apart from one layby that had loads of wine bottles in the ditch and them little gas cannisters that kids suck on. Anyway, i've taken being grumpy a step further and come out the other side. I set about litter picking once a month as part of the businesses "Community Days" initiative. The benefits are manyfold. I get an enormous sense of wellbeing, the village becomes a little tidier, I get to catch up with the local guys who offer their time to help, and I get some decent local publicity. Petition: Increase the penalty for developers and landowners who remove trees illegally. PETITION.PARLIAMENT.UK It is too easy for a developer to illegally remove trees including, but not only, trees with TPOs and receive a small fine which in no way reflects the value of trees or the profit the developer can gain. We want the financial penalty increased and severe restrictions placed on the lands future use.

Does anyone in the north east hire out the portable stump grinders such as the Alpine magnum? I've 15 stumps to do. Access is only through the house and the garden is on an extremely steep terrace! Might end up being a dig out job. I'm aching already!
