  1. If you Steven P are in any way above average the human race is FUBAR
  2. even if I say so myself
  3. So Norway can keep their fish and we have to let aircraft carrier size fishing boats from all of EU come and hoover ours up. Norway is the model - we can only dream Why is Norway not a part of the EU? A major issue for Norway is its fishing resources, which are a significant part of the national economy and which would come under the Common Fisheries Policy if Norway were to accede to the EU. Norway has high GNP per capita and would have to pay a high membership fee.
  4. 'or else all hell will break loose' did actually happen, the bombing has resumed, the only thing more hellish would have been nukes A better example of Trump failing to action what he says is end Ukraine War in 24 hours.
  5. It's all ready too late for all those who have been killed by Israel - and as the US supplies at least 70% or the arms this is something Trump is to blame for - he has the power to stop arms shipments, but he is on the Israelis side. I'm not saying Trump should become a muslim, but he could at least become a human.
  6. thanks for the reply - bigger than anything I've tackled in terms of sheer length It looks geometric and neat, they must be pleased with it. It did occur to me a decent size tractor and flail could trim most of the sides, not as nice a finish
  7. yes, but remember encounters at the border are down markedly since Trump took over, basically because he's sent the message that they won't be allowed to stay and rising prices in Walmart - ok some pain, but many Americans agree with Trump trying to rebuild a manufacturing base and wean off from cheap foreign factories. Otherwise it's just a service economy
  8. the link you posted allows the user to select interval, selecting 2025 the figure is 71405. The 616 000 is total removals for the last five or so years
  9. ok - so if I couln't do it on my own in 4 days it would have been added to the list of jobs I've underestimated, can imagine being absolutely gutted by day four with 75 ton of green waste still strewn about and ragged bits of hedge still needing straightening Nature isn't fair to all - some rise to be captains of industry, other have to raid the Tesco food skip at night
  10. interested to hear how many man days it took and if the sides were mainly hedge cutter - if not propietary info!
  11. I'm an amateur compared to you guys - one man band effort, but 2 things 1 looking at before and after, its not being pruned so much as trimmed (without being there I doubt a chainsaw went near it) (Edit -ok a bit for the top I can see maybe 2 inch stems cut) 2 the cost, ok the hire would have been a bit, but surely max 2 men for 2 days and perhaps 2 ton of cuttings, or chip to dump I spend 3 to four days on my own hedge cutting in the biggest gardens I do for a yearly - I'd be surprised if I couldn't have done that in four days, including clearing away. It's not exciting work, more of a slog, but that hedge only had a yearly trim by the look of it, cant see why felling needed considering. If you gave me a ro ro bin to rake up into , a platform and £950.35 I'd do it every year as a subby
  12. farmers crops would shrivel, people working outside suffer heat exhaustion, but at least retired folk can bake like lizards on a rock
  13. Trump could play it like Putin did with Nevalny - don't mess around if someone poses a serious threat have them arrested as soon as they come back
  14. service manual - don't be daunted at 212 pages, most of it is stuff you'll never need, carb stuff shown in screenshot starts at page 113, download link below https://www.wincogen.com/wp-content/uploads/PD/Engines/GX160_SM.pdf
  15. consider fitting a cheap copy carb, I've got a copy carb on a HRH 536 mower, genuine Honda was £100, chinese £10 through the letterbox off ebay, not as good, but still works yours looks to be a GX160 even L&S engineers sell cheap copy carbs for that model (check your engine model first e.g GX160K3, ) I often go through parts lists and order gaskets too when changing carbs on machines, you may not need gaskets, if you can get it apart without damaging them Carburettor for Honda GX140, GX160 Engines - Replaces 16100 ZH8 800 | L&S Engineers WWW.LSENGINEERS.CO.UK N/G Carburettor for Honda GX140, GX160 Engines Quality, Non Genuine Honda Part Replaces OEM No 16100-ZH8-800, 16100-ZH8-W51 Space between stud holes - 41mm
  16. Try whereas instead of where as pearls before swine
  17. so we can have Romanians, Bulgarians, and Poles all come over to boost our economy and make better lives for themselves If Turkey and Ukraine join the EU why not welcome their people too? No danger of the UK becoming overcrowded or anything, love thy neighbour
  18. rational not the right word, pro EU doesn't = rational, all the people working together, free to go where they please, especially where the handouts are most generous
  19. yes 12" bar, but it is not quick, nothing like a petrol ms200t. Fine for most work upto 8 inch cuts, although I once felled a 14 inch diameter alder with it, was all I had with me. I guess I ordered it with a 12" bar thinking it would help make more versatile, but 10 inch would have been ok too. The kombi hedge cutters are good for long reach with extensions, but I prefer the hs87t for the side of the hedge, my long reach kombi stuff mostly does horrible wide tops
  20. the only battery kit I have is Stihl top handle saw, the old MSA160T, I am happy enough with petrol for hedgecutters, I feel they are more profitable, as last longer. For a battery hedgecutter have a look at the newest model 150, single sided (with 1 metre blade option) is equivalent to hs87t 40" which I have 2 of, been using them for 10 years, best thing for facing up big hedges that I have used , better than combi attachments
  21. they needed Maverick for this gig Russian Jet Buzzes Estonian Forces in Gulf of Finland Shadow Tanker Showdown GCAPTAIN.COM A tense maritime incident unfolded today in the off the Estonian coast when Estonian naval forces attempted to detain the M/T...
  22. as far as I'm concerned - this is the whole problem, the issue is too complex to be grasped by a layperson, it would be like me commenting on how they should have approached raising the Bayesian so the diver didn't die the other day during metal cutting, I have no training in diving or salvage so my opinion would be as valid as yours on pandemic management
  23. Trump signs order aiming to slash US drug prices to match those abroad | Trump administration | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Health policy experts support the ‘most favored nation’ plan but doubt it will withstand likely legal challenges
  24. If stopping millions of illegal immigrants isnt a good thing that Trump has done, wait till a drought hits the news, fewer people using the available water will help enormously. Everglades "drying up" as drought plagues Florida WWW.NEWSWEEK.COM Much of Florida is facing severe and extreme drought conditions after a "highly abnormal" dry season.
  25. I would argue that by cutting illegal immigration all US citizens are now winners from the Trump policy. To let a swarm of monkeys on two legs across is going to add to competition for scarce housing and resources. Every extra migrant needs additional concrete spewed out in the form of human nests. US beef prices are surging due to lack of rain in the west causing grazing land to dry up, more people use more water. The year with the highest number of illegal immigration encounters at the US southern border was fiscal year 2023 (October 2022 - September 2023). Specifically, that year saw 2,334,470 encounters with people trying to cross without inspection.
