  1. they don't - obviously they want nuclear weapons - their arch enemy Israel has loads, an undocumented amount. The interesting question for me is - if Iran were to make a hundred and there is a 10% chance of them getting through air defences, then Iran could destroy Israel, or at least level the major cities. Now, that is not disputed, but I often wonder would Iran really do it, because Israel and probably US too, would then visit upon Iran a nuclear holocaust. I suppose all the fuss is because people think Iran are mad enough to not worry about mutually assured destruction. Also Iran is big geographically, so would require a lot of nukes to be sure of a good kill
  2. Highly enriched uranium 'moved from Fordow', Iranian sources claim Senior Iranian sources have told Reuters most of the highly enriched uranium at the Fordow site had been moved away before the US attack. the only way is a land invasion and scour the country with a Geiger counter that's what Iran is hoping everyone is thinking, so they can get on with their work now
  3. so it's done - at least in theory, maybe the Iranians are busy enriching 3km below the surface! In a post on social media earlier, the US president said ‘A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home’
  4. this is almost as good as the Tree Surgeons Mastermind podcasts
  5. Why do these people have to keep writing swear words? Maybe it makes them feel more down to earth, in tune with the spirit of the people.
  6. so prepare a reading list for me
  7. Justify isn't the word I would use, but if you are a Palestinian in the West Bank the Israeli settlers turfing you out of your home must be unpleasant to say the least. Palestinians have been murdered in the West Bank if they try to resist the encroachment of Israelis onto their land. And Netanyahu's government has been authorising ever more expansions into the Palestinian territory. The international community, with exception of US view Israeli settlements in the West Bank as illegal, but no country dares to put it's foot down and intervene for fear of the United States. Of course Hamas attack has failed, anything they could have ever conceived would have failed, they didn't have any strength at all and hardly any heavy firepower. With the US backing Israel the Palestinians can't really fight back against their land being taken. Israel approves biggest expansion of West Bank settlements in decades | CNN EDITION.CNN.COM Israel approved a massive expansion of Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank this week in a move described as a continuation of de facto annexation of the territory.
  8. You probably dont think its all that bad that for decades Israel has been taking Palestinian land in the West Bank.
  9. Israel has taken better care of the Palestinians than Hamas? I dont doubt Hamas steals some of the aid, but Hamas has not bombed Palestinian cities into the ground. Israel have repeatedly cut off water and electricity. The American Indians got a lot of bad press at the time, journalists trying to justify gunning the savages down.
  10. With no one to stand up to Israel they will continue murdering and stealing land. What Israel has done in flattening Gaza and placing a perimeter blockade, starving people, seems to me one of the worst war crimes in recent years. You talk about Iran being the one with genocidal intentions - the IDF are nicer than the mullahs? The number of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank is ramping up, Palestinians being murdered and pushed out all the time. Not all Jews are bad, but plenty of Israelis are. I feel that nearly all western news feeds the narrative of Iran must be stopped, no one says Israel must be stopped from their slow motion wiping out Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.
  11. In the autumn you can check all around the base of the tree for fungal brackets, if you really want to investigate you can pay for a PICUS test or similar, will be able to detect the amount of decay in the base of the trunk As its US, here is a link to one of the long established US forums (if you ask there it has a tree care and health section) https://www.masterblasterhome.com/ If the tree is infected by October you should see fruiting bodies around the base e.g below is an image of inside a tree trunk - an expensive service, but may give you peace of mind
  12. what gets me is Israel and US are allowed to have masses of nuclear weapons, but they dont want Iran to have any. Netanyahu doesnt want a fair fight, he wants Israel to be in charge, to be dominant. The same goes for the US and China - I dont like the idea of China taking back Taiwan, but to have a nuclear power capable of taking on US means tbat the world doesnt have to accept US foreign policy for fear of being attacked. If Iran becomes westernised, they still wont be allowed nukes - Israel wants to be the only ones, so unfair. Its like in Gaza, give Hamas the same weaponry as Israel to make it a fair fight
  13. No, not 'the world' Some countries get along with Iran Same as some countries get along with North Korea Iran knows it couldnt wipe out Israel without all Iranian cities being destroyed. Israel has been making nuclear war heads at their underground sites since the 1980s. The whole non proliferation thing is so condescending. The US should not be able to tell other countries what to do, just because they have the most nukes.
  14. safer on a plane than studying Every hour one student commits suicide in India, with about 28 such suicides reported every day, according to data compiled by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB
  15. that's the trouble with the 3 main nattering threads - too much clogging up and not enough regurgitated podcasts
  16. so SP refusing to answer, not just this question, but multiple questions still hasn't made you ignore him. You don't have to write back when he quotes your posts. There are dozens of people who chat on the nattering threads. It may be cruel, but if Elon had trouble on his forum he would just starve them of oxygen. You are like Elon on a smaller scale - don't be afraid, it's no harder than giving up painkillers Unless the chasing and banter are the whole point. At least SP will keep you company for hours on end, so much better than any AI chatbot
  17. not done the job myself, but see post 3 below Iveco Daily Forums-Radiator removal IVECOFORUMS.COM Ive got a leak on my 07 35c15 which is getting gradually worse, been advised by my mechanic that its the radiator, how hard are these to remove, I pul
  18. Traveller's Joy sounds like it would be a nice plant - reality is it needs napalming, haven't got the ticket yet
  19. ah well failed again - can't believe I forgot temperature and mass
  20. I can't get to 6 plus metre, will try Newton, Farad, Candela, Ampere, Second
  21. of course in a full blown civil war the US would have the luxury of using tactical 'battlefield' nukes. I feel sorry for Greta - the Iranians won't ride in to rescue her, as Trump's country has supplied Israel with "special' bombs that would prevent the Arabs from overrunning them. The IDF will show Greta et al footage of Hamas murders, but no footage of the thousands of murders of Palestinians in the occupied west bank by Israeli 'settlers' - illegal invaders. The settlers didnt do 1200 in one day, they like to spread their murders out - even though the US has a UN veto, the Isralis want to steal the land without being universally condemned Trump is at best a modern Chaimberlain, heading into Mussolini territory
  22. you sound sure about it, and maybe you're right, I will have to have a deeper dive tonight, unless someone can highlight a page where it explicitly says about the RPA payments, so an allotment could be cut in August say
  23. If it could be successfully argued that an allotment used only for household growing isn't agriculture, then it would appear 'legal' to trim it before, personally I can find 'safer' work less likeley to get a bollocking for that I would do and leave the allotment one till later, or even lose it if they aren't happy waiting, rather than try to become an expert in legal interpretation
  24. it doesn't have to be agricultural to fall under the new rules, personally I would leave it till first week in September I had a customer's neighbour hassle me about trimming a hedge going onto a pavement last year 'have you checked that for nests?' 'terrible the rate at which our wildlife is being destroyed' etc I could have argued about abating a nuisance, but she could have countered with, hand shears would have sufficed to cut back encroaching bramble. The bit in the screenshot below is what I would be worried about - bottom paragraph
  25. Putin doesn't have to put up with political rivals - Trump shouldn't either President Donald Trump on Saturday said there would be “serious consequences” if tech mogul Elon Musk funds Democratic candidates to run against Republicans who vote in favor of the GOP’s sweeping budget bill. “If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that,” Trump told NBC News in a phone interview, but declined to share what those consequences would be. “He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that,” he added.
