  1. I have had same issue (I think) its the brand new chain, for whatever reason i find that they are juddery as hell until they have their first sharpen. They feel like the rakers are to low I have got 7 of those 2511's and have put at least 6 years full time on the one I climb with. Aside from clutch springs, bars, chains, caps, exhaust covers, filters, an ignition switch and busted handle and brake they have needed nothing but more abuse over the years.
  2. It wasnt a retired Colonel Douglas MacGregor was it? Hes been incredibly Pro Putin and a pet of Russian media for a decade. Well blaming Nato is one of his many excuses. But Russia complaining about Nato is like a serial arsonist complaining that its the fire department and police who make him light fires around the neighborhood. Im not saying there isnt SOME legitimacy to it, but Nations like Estonia, Lithuania, Latvias right to protection after they have been invaded and viciously oppressed by Russia in living memory, outweighs Russias feeling it should be able to do what it wants. In 1998 I was working with 4 Ukrainian brothers. 3 of them were off the the US to work and very excited about it, but one was going back to Ukraine. I asked why. "I have to do military training, like my brothers have" "oh its compulsory in Ukraine?" "No, I have to train because of the war with Russia" "What, your having a war with Russia??" "Not now, but eventually there is always war with Russia" he said it with simple but strong conviction. At the time, I thought he was crazy. But as of a few months ago I heard 2 of his brothers are missing in action, their father who is well into his 70's had lied about his age and last time I heard was in a self propelled gun and in tears because he had run out of shells.
  3. Hey! This is a public forum, there is NO need to stoop so low as calling me Australian! What if my kids were permitted to be out in daylight, regained there sight, learned to read and read that? Since clearly I hire nothing but white trash, I will complement you on being able to be both incredibly insulting while staying hidden in the shadows. Wait, is that you Mum?
  4. He could easily have been raving about how the Battle of Britain was about increasing sales for Rolls Royce and blackout curtains. However, this is the 6th invasion of Ukraine by Russia, following the same playbook as its invasion of Georgia. While his profitable view count gets close to the millions the Russians have oppressed and killed, he offers no solutions to the plight of Ukraine, but sure offers the kind of distraction that im sure Putin appreciates.
  5. We are a busy little 2 crew tree service in Wellington NZ, we do a wide variety of private work mostly urban but with some rural stuff thrown in. Works ramped up a bit faster than we can handle so we are after one guy currently, but we will also after a second guy due to one of our guys following a music career, and he will be leaving around Easter. I supply you with all the toys, we have pretty good kit from GRCS's to chainsaw winches. We pay time and a half after 40 hours. I buy the coffee The works sometimes hard, but we have great clients and a decent work environment, and find fun in what we do most days. We are based minutes from a bus stop, a great mountainbike park, and within 15 minutes there are more beaches than I can count (which means more than 7). I suck at the whole HR stuff, so you will have to imagine I have used words like "Visionary" and "Passion" and possibly "Synergize". For the job you need to be able to walk upright, laugh, pat dogs, be a hard working decent arborist and not suck the life out of a room. If your under 30 years old then your able to work in NZ under a working holiday visa which is valid for up to 23 months for UK citizens although other conditions apply. One of my guys has become an NZ citizen after starting off on a working holiday visa but results will vary!
  6. Someone called me while my wife was giving birth, It was worth it, I got the job.
  7. Oh god the magnet bullcrap thing. One of my mates would go on about it and i would shut him up by saying "so the military, formula one, the aircraft industry and the entire combustion engine industry in the last 100 years has never thought to stick a few magnets on fuels lines?" Yeah and they just took the world gullible out of the dictionary
  8. Amarok, brought to you by the cheating company that shortcutted making a 4wd work ute transfer box. What could go wrong? (I have had to help recover 2 from situations any other ute would drive out of)
  9. Its got a pretty heavy presence in organized crime and features in everything from ransomware attacks on whole nations infrustructure to the white slave trade and terrorism, I doubt govts are going to let it ride in the long term.
  10. They might have fed it, to make it less interested in hunting them but kinda interested in what else they had
  11. I bottom cut and leave when it will work. But when there is a lot of it, bottom cutting can be hit and miss (while still requiring some herbicide to kill the stump) and require much more in fuel, oil, diesel and time due to revisits. At the end of the day, we could just walk barefoot to jobs and use handsaws, and the client could watch the debris slowly rot in their back yard, but we are paid for results, not good intentions. I dont like using herbicides, but I like failing at certain tasks and wasting time less.
  12. I hate ivy! Not good for use if its on trees but Escort herbicide at 5g for 10L kicks its nasty ass so bad I could nearly feel sorry for it. It takes a month to start to work but I have never seen something kill it so effectively. (and works like a charm on gorse to)
