Im slightly worse for wear, but if u mean do they take any type of chip then its yes, but if there anything but chip found the load can/will be brought back to you with a bill to cover transportation etc

Only forms i know of was, about half way through their time a teacher would speak to the employer, write some bits down whilst the lad or lass was there. After that we had to write a statement about said person. We just gave it to the work exp lad as 'homework' that night lol job done

Can you not speak to the college? As id of thought they would have to do some sort of check with the companies the boys and girls want to work for, and as above they drag and watch, i the trees big enough we sometimes let them go up with us, for the climb and to do something different. O and to provide them with the right ppe

Had this also, after i sharpened a friends saw. The chip was up to 2'' long though it didnt jam or bog the saw down ??

Thats it bud, before you've finished college carry on looking for jobs sending out cv's so that you may have a job lined up. Believe me i didn't want to work at m&s, but i did it to support my growing family. Its easier to find a job whilst your in one, than when you haven't. Maybe a hard pill to swallow etc but if your wanting the £££ to get you new gear or take you places, take what is out there and don't be fussy and just sit on your ass. You may want to do tree work outside of college, but if your wanting to earn £££ take any job. Just before i started college i started working for m&s 40hrs a wk, also my 2nd boy was born a week before i started the job. On top of that was the college work and then i went looking /doing ,garden clearance/hedge trimming jobs anything for the extra ££ and experience and save for saws and climbing kit. So dont be fussy about what job you have, go to friends of family etc start there and let word of mouth take over whilst asking around other local firms or charities

True i bought a 009, have now taugh my eldest to strip clean and put back together, waiting for when he can use it then teach my youngest

Ive seen a pack which had 6 1m pole u attached with a normal hook screwed on like any pole kit but it had an extra hook wielded side by side, this is so the groundie can place the hooks over the prussic etc and lower the climber down. Im sure it was on some u.s powerline kit website

Also if you have an iphone download the two arbtalk apps. Ones on knots and the other is what ur after, well worth the £ and urll always have it on you
