  4. All depends on ur current and previous jobs you had, also your budget. Have a look around for a 4x4 as said mazda or ranger or anything else, pop some boards on the sides and away you go. It also might be an option to get the engine remapped! Itll cost a couple of hundred but will help with the mpg etcetc. As you know the bigger the truck/van the higher the road tax bud Sent using fones4hobbits
  5. Keep your out goings low as possible bud, also work out if it might be cheaper to take the brash to the tip rather than taking a chipper on each job. Id get the van first and if and when needed hire a chipper Sent using fones4hobbits

  9. I found when first using it i was pulling the rope towards my chest/stomach area which didn't help in the self tending. I changed it so i was pulling straight down towards the ZZ and it didn't have a problem after that. Self tended every time Sent using fones4hobbits

  17. I think with the 'self tending issues', you have to pull the rope down in the direction of the ZZ, as i was pulling towards myself when i first used it and it just gathered above it. Now that i am mind full of this I've not had any problems with this issue. A great bit of kit still Sent using fones4hobbits

Frjones is my main source of kit but sometimes buy else where if its cheaper. if i need hands on like my current issue of 'which rope to buy' i have to drive just under 2 hrs to Buxton's being the closest Sent using fones4hobbits
  21. Had a blast on mine this morning during and clean out and as said before the 13mm rope is hard to feed in and doesn't self tend as well. However i used an 11mm and what a difference it made( backed up of course). It is a very smooth descend and the ascend is crisp loving it cant wait til after lunch to climb on it again Sent using fones4hobbits
