  1. Thats just how I think, we've seen Conner coming on soo well and really enjoying his work, and he's in a team he's cared for and who look out for him. We just dont want to see him loose that and end up as a brash dragger, we're just looking out for him making sure he knows what he's really doing. We know he can read these posts so its just to make him really think what he's leaving. No disrespect to you Conner we wish you all the best in the future.
  2. Good luck with the search Chris, try not to worry to much im sure it will all sort its self out
  3. He's shooting himself in the foot, you cant just find another company just like that, and if he does they will probably just stick him on the chipper, I thought he was made landing with you and paul teaching him so much and taking the time to show him the correct and safe way, he wont find that again. Do you think it's because silky is leaving?
  4. I stopped drinking coke and other sugary drinks, just drink water or sugar free squash now I lost 7lb In 5-6 months just from cutting the sugary drinks out.

  7. I know alot of climbers who need extra tickets like cs40 41 just book the assessment and dont bother with training, I know one lad went and dismantled a tree for an assessor to get his cs39 as he'd been doing it for years anyway.
  8. Ye idea for finishing hedge reductions off im the same have two rough cuts and three trim cuts both have their place.
  9. Whoops Thanks I'll know for nxt time now, obviously didn't read the instructions that well lol.
  10. Its actually a 371xp with a normal chain but they recommend a ripping chain. The mill is I believe the Alsakan mini mill as for price I dont know as I won it in the arbtalk raffle but Rod D on here sales them, I think the max bar the mini mill can take is a 20" so if buying one go for the bigger mill. I found it straight forward enough just read the instructions and looked at a couple of videos on YouTube. it does make you look at timber a different way as the Oak I milled was from my firewood heap.
  11. Well as I won the mini mill in this years raffle kindly donated by Rob D , I thought Id have a crack with it this morning on some Oak, I've never milled before but was impressed with the turn out for my first attempt if I say so myself.
  12. I hardly ever use my rough cuts they seem hard work after using the stihl trim ones especially on conifer hedges. And there isn't a great deal in what thickness they can cut.
  13. Haha I liked the prussik up an Oak (hate to be beaten by a 45 year old) you nailed him lol. Nice throws on your rope advancing
