  4. Headed out for a jaunt with my good lady and the dog this afternoon. Through the gorgeous Yorkshire dales down to a little village where we stopped for a nice cup of earl gray. After a while we decided to head back to the lodge but Buster had other ideas, he point blank refused to move...!! Would he f**k walk. He just stood looking at us as if to say "there is nee way I'm walking back up there like"...!!
  5. You'll love this one Ian, on the Newcastle City Council TPO application forms it states 'use this form if you require any looping or topping to your trees'. And just to fuel the fire even more, the Newcastle City Council tree team are AAAC FFS

  7. There are 7 lodges and two are dog friendly and one with disabled access, well worth a visit :-)
  8. I've carried out Drop Crouching ony two times in 12 years, one on an ash and one on a sycamore. Happy to say both trees are still alive and adding lots of amenity value to the area :-) Nice to see someone trying to retain a tree in decline rather than going for the cash of a removal. Top job Ian :-)

  11. Waking up the morning after my third anniversary and I'm happier than ever..! We booked one of Studford luxury lodge in North Yorkshire, and its been worth every penny. A true Arborists haven, elevated from the Forrest floor and surrounded by mixed pine and spruce. I'm here with the Mrs alone apart from Buster until Friday when my parents and girls join us, and they're gona love it..!! Enjoy the photos :-)

  14. I've been awarded a large Forestry Commission Contract in the Highlands near Ben Nevis. I am looking to team up with a company to carry out the work, the contract is approx 12 weeks work for a 4 man team, so, if we can put two 4 man teams on it with two chippers it will be around 6 weeks work. If your local an interested in hearing more call Chris on 07824667456 Companies with tracked chopper will be preferred. Also somebody with chapter 8 or section 2 of using traffic lights on a single carriage way will also be preferred. Must have had chainsaw refresher training within last 5 years and be a first aider. Immediate start until 21st December then back on job for 5th Jan. First faze must be completed by 19th Jan hence immediate start.

  19. It's an expensive way of running a chipper but if you have work for it it'll be like having a licence to print money.... Ain't that rite Mr Blair?
