  5. Would you be interested in taking it on?
  6. Got a 200T that I just can't tune. I have had a fellow tree man look at it and he recons it needs a new carb, he said that its a common thing and it is better to stick a new carb on rather than mess with idly jets and so on that probably wont sort it anyway. Does anyone know of a good place to take it to be looked at near shrewsbury? The down time of this saw is killing me.
  7. we have the same sort of thing at our yard ''gritting is not advised as you will be liable if an accident occurs'' bloody stupid!

    how old?

wow, i have learned so much from this thread. i enjoy reading about what others have said and hope to one day be somewhere close to having this sort of knowledge. thanks guys, im glad i posted these pics.
  10. how would this be done? i am very interested to know. what would the base tree be and how would it be prepared for a graft?
  11. I found this today on the grounds of a castle, I have never seen this before, it looks like the tree has grown from a stump, weird. There are strange chunks missing from the surface, a large ball of mistltoe as you may be able to see in pic 4&8. The conker shells are very smooth without any spikes and small. this tree has some serious character i love it.

    how old?

Found this big boy today in the grounds of a castle. What sort of age would a tree looking like this be? The canapy had a spread of 72 feet aprox.as you can see there was some funky looking fun as at the base both new and old.
  13. i would love to see that. a safe® version could make someone some serious money
  14. that thing is narly, i like the idea in principle however the dangers far out way its function imo. one slip and its all over.
  15. i was thinking that. looks good though i may build one of my own, does a nice job.
  16. i currently work in the cctv industry and this stuff is nasty, we use it on fences poles and masts and infact anything to stop people climbing over stuff. i cant remember how many work shirts and trousers i have ruined with it. if your looking to make like difficult and get your own back then this is the stuff to use. also to note it stains the skill for ages and is a mother to wash off, i have to use green kitchen scouring pads to get it of.
  17. thanks terry, sorting out paperwork and photos early on does make sense. i will try and get it sorted on monday.
  18. i wish i was told this by the nptc or the trainer, well i think i will wait until i have done my 38 & 39 so i can get them all on one card, i assume i will still get my certificates through the post though.
