Well said! Lifes too short to dwell on it. Not saying that if i caught them i wouldnt dish out a little of my own justice! Oh well i can already feel my wallet getting lighter:thumbdown:. To be honest im more worried about letting the guy who gave me work down more than anything else. Hope it aint held against me.

Went out to load the car up this morning and found that all 4 of my tyres had been slashed! I live in quite a nice area which made it more surprising. What made it worse was the fact that today i was supposed to be climbing for a tree surgeon in Glasgow with hope of getting more work with him in the future. Looks pretty crap on my part that i cant make work on my first day! just hope that its not held against me. Have offered to do a day for free as i hate letting people down. Anyboday else had a problem like this?

Yeah dude im self employed at the moment, there is always the local council who is always looking for guys. Or you could try Scottish woodland. I did a bit for them last year. Where will you be staying when you come back up?

Alright dude, im based in Glasgow.Bit quiet at the mo but hopefully getting busier later in the year. will keep you in mind if i need a hand and perhaps you can do the same. Bet you cant wait to come home to the motherland!

The guy at the fossil grove said that they would have died due to a flood. So im guessing the flat tops are due to the water level.

Here are a few pics of the fossil grove just down from my house. These beauties were here long before man and will be here long after we are gone. See if you can guess the age (please dont cheat by checking on the internet).

Try an online army surplus store. I bought my day sack from one with detachable side pockets. Tough and pretty cheap.

Well, big cheers to you lot for the advice. Turned up at the job yesterday with my new shiney ratchet and super sharp saw only to find that the tree must have got tired of leaning and decided to fall over by itself. So logged it it up and left. Bit disapointing but at least it came down in a safe position when nobody was around. im sure ill have another chance to drop a big leaning one.
