    I currently run a Valtra 8550 which is 160hp and 50k box,has loads of power and speed but bear in mind it loves diesel you pay for the power!

    For the tonnage you are talking I would say the best thing to do is find agood local handcutter to help you with the felling and buy or convert a decent tractor for the extraction.A good 3pl winch and a trailer crane will do most sites,if its too bad for this setup then you need to use a good contractor.Good Luck.

    Valmet 8550 with Bandit 90,i do knock the bar now and again but you soon learn coz its a pain,works very well but could do with slightly bigger infeed.That said it is better for accessing difficult jobs.

    Clearing up after the storms with good old MB Trac 1000 and Valmet 8550.

    It all depends how deep your pockets are and the value/quantity of timber.

    Got this based near Sheffield if any good to you.Valmet 8550 with Botex 560/Bandit 90 chipper.

    Use a secondary pulley to redirect your timber around stumps etc,and also make sure it is snedded out fully.

    Beware of using this stuff!I Have been using glyphosate based chemicals for over twenty years now,we were told it was safe to use and cause us no harm. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease at the age of forty.I cannot prove the link between this and Glyphosate exposure although I am convinced of this personally.My advice is avoid this stuff at all costs.I would like to take this further but I know Monsanto can afford a good lawyer.

    I have owned this Bandit 90 for ten years now and it is still going strong,as you can see it has been abused terribly.All I have needed to do is grease it and change the blades,marvellous machine.
