  1. No don't tension your lines with vehicles, anchor yes but no tension. you have know idea of how much pressure your applying on the line. Leave the line slack whist you rig the piece off then apply tension to the speed line buy mechanical advantage, ie fiddle block system, hand winch, or even a good old fashioned dolly hitch will do. Anchor wise just but it on what ever you have to hand, trees substantial shrubs ect
  2. Excellent mate, what was you average wait time between picks? Or was the LZ on the same site?
  3. Tough work on the legs there mate.. Good job though, like you said in the previous thread, "very repetitive stuff" how you liking the teufelberger rope? I'm liking mine great for applications such as zip lines, lovely knot tying capabilities.

  6. Haaa! Well spotted David Here's one Made last year although it my get taken down but still funny
  7. Haaaa! Love you Reg x Good work as always, look forward to seeing the rest. Ps hope all is well
  8. I do what ever I feel safe and practical at the time, base anchors are great but do have there place. I don't mind bounce if it's in my system it's in my system either way I deal with it. 75% of the time I'll put in a retrievable top tie, but 90% of the time I will access on a base anchor! The way the industry has turned in the last 10 years there really is a technique for every situation.
  9. Great to see the thread getting some posts again, miss you lot, must make more of an effort really.

  12. Pretty similar mate, i do find that I need 4 wraps on a Knut with armour Pruss but only 3 with beeline! On the wrench. But both require 5 wraps on the hitchhiker setup. Running wise - the pulley on the HH they run equally as smooth Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Of cause mate but like I say in my previous post, it is mainly base anchors that can lead to shock loading.. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. Base anchors mainly mate, a little slip on a peg or twig could result in a big fall factor. Just something I'm not prepared to take the risk with. I get on well with kern and probably would never use anything else Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Another thread about SRT ropes? Surly there's enough info on here already to read through Al?? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Cougar is lovely rope but way too static for work position climbing in my opinion. I wouldn't want to take a fall on it! Yale kernmaster has all the properties of a true work position rope, static to a certain degree but dynamic under a shock load absorbing energy from the fall lessening the impact on your body. 17. Pretty cool actually, not sure if it's been shared before though! Single Tree Grows 40 Kinds Of Fruit | IFLScience Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. I normally cut through as little as possible to make the fracture first Wolfe! Then it's only half the job of making the cut look jagged Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. Not really mate just at random, tried to get as much depth as possible on the vertical bore though. Thanks Jesse Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. They did mate and thank you, I fount getting them high with the t540 a lot better than a 200t for some strange reason, this was also done with a lift and I think achieve a far better outcome than climbing.. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. willow monolith with coronet cuts and bat holes!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. Both mate a little more bounce don't put me off!! Lol I'd never switch away from kernmaster rope now Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. The dye in any rope make a huge difference! My hedera is way more bouncy than my orange and blue flec kern! Safari is on my list when I can afford it Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
