  1. The hero is very good, only downfall or negative gripe I have with it is if you break the case then it's game over as its all built in together. Very impressed so far! I love the quick capture mode on it. Not sure it's on other models. Great battery saver though
  2. I've only got the hero! And that's exactly what I want to do! I can have 4 cameras set up for the price of 1, ok I never will buy 4 but there cheap enough and still good quality picture. 2 would be sweet, pov and a high point view. The trouble with arb videos now is the bar has been set real high. It's what you want out of it that matters. I just wanna share my work I know I'll never be August Spielberg or Reg Cameron
  3. Haaaaaaa! Brilliant!! Nice work to mate, I did a video the other day and I can feel your pain on how much work is put into doing a video. I suppose it's like the tree in a way! You can do it the simple way or the technical way! Some just have the knack! Some just take a little longer! Hope to get a few angles in the next video make it a little more Interesting!!
  4. Composite toe caps where not devolved to be hit full on with a chainsaw!! And neither where steel toe caps! The test as you call it clearly doesn't prove anything other than what we already knew! How many times have you sharpened a saw after going through a plastic bottle?? FFS... They where designed for light weight warmth and protection from a falling object! Yes boots may take the odd nick from a saw by accident, but come on who's going to sit there and put a saw through the toe cap!! "Oh I know I'll carry on!!!" Jeez H.... If your cutting timber or shedding brush wood then you should be fully aware of where your feet are! If not then you seriously need to be asking yourself some questions. I've said it before I'll say it again. It's crazy how were all lured into a huge false sense of security when it comes to PPE. Yes we all wear them yes they offer us protection! But do they really do what they say on the tin??? And the answer to that is we will find out if the time ever comes! It's like this. It's better to have it than not need it, than to need it and not have it..
  5. Where do you live mate? The other smaller webbing on the treecore is an adjuster so you can set the D close or far from your waste line! I've not messed around with it to much, I adjusted it and I like the way it's sitting at the minute. Very clever idea to orientate balance of the climber I guess
  6. Have you contacted edelrid themselves mate?
  7. That's for the treecore not the magic mate!
  8. Very windy here in the flat lands of Lincolnshire. Warm though! Could be a spot of rain on the horizon. Few limbs of trees I've seen but no full ones. Stay safe guys and gals
  9. Haha probably will on the other tube lol
  10. Thanks mate and enjoy I will get back on it soon but other things to deal with first
  11. I quite like the stein spikes, only tried them once but it was for 5 hours! Wouldn't say no to a pair
  12. Just click the watch in YouTube but when it says that! Works fine on my iPhone Mark, search adamnalex
  13. Is it the magic you have mate? Wrench and kern I use either amour prus or Yale beeline, I do prefer the beeline though. Always used a Knut with 3 top wraps mate
  14. Yeah don't walk on gravel or any sharpe surfaces with them though mate! They do break up at the base when walked on those things!!
  15. You won't go back mate! There 14 year old. They do need a little reconditioning but for there money they do last
  16. To be honest mate there no real different to what I use now lol!
  17. It does indeed Steve, there sold for the type of spike you have well only some models.
  18. Oh the SRT police will arrest you for that mate haha! Yeah I'll be going up to C&C mate, looking forward to it again.
  19. Cheers bro. Yeah I really do like it mate, smooth when you dial it in! Think my rope was a little dirty for a start for it but it's like a dream descending now! Minimal sit back..... I'll rephrase that!! There's no sit back in the runner itself just from the bina sliding D. Tends nice on ascent. When I can afford one or the bull dog bone I'll purchase either!!
  20. Thanks nick. Obviously with me being with just wally I had to take a little more precaution into what may go wrong, I can't imagine he'd be the most useful in an aerial rescue Steady 50 minutes, few cut and holds but my hand was well out the way on majority.
  21. Thanks mate. It's holding up real well. Don't think I'll ever have a different harness again. Unless something new takes my fancy. I've just put a new sliding D on it, but it's a petzl D as edelrid don't consider it to be a major wearing part??? Wtf is that all about?? Anyway they only sell the whole adjuster D all that at a nice price of £75!! The petzl D does its job though. Other than that it's wearing well. Love it mate
  22. Cheers Pete, the runner is nice, until you dial in to what force you need to apply on descent it can be a little jumpy for a start. Doesn't take long to get use to it then it becomes super smooth! It will never be a hitch IMO though. Well for now anyway. Sadly it's only on a borrow for a couple of weeks. Maybe a sad day when it goes back to Ian's lol
  23. Kings of Leon (be somebody) And sorry Fred yes that was 50 minutes work time.
