  1. I would not have a problem ringging stems down of that size on them.
  2. Not at all, less friction than a bollard or porta wrap. I really can't see what people have a problem with.
  3. Your supporting both anyway! There no more expensive either way! David has just pushed the product further than anyone has in this industry. As far as I'm aware they come out the same antal factory just with x rigging rings on them! He didn't just buy a load and re label them!!
  4. I still think beeline is by far the best to use with the hitchhiker!
  5. Don't shoot the messenger mate. I'm only saying what I've been told! I have know idea how it all the paperwork stuff legislations work on Arb/marine stuff All I do is use them. And use them under X rigging rings
  6. HRC stands for heat resistant cover mate, they say it instead of the HRC abbreviation
  7. Try treestuff mate. Not sure if any of the UK retailers are splicing there own up yet??
  8. Honeys sell it!! https://honeybros.com/Item/New_England_Therma-Shield_8mm_Accessory_Cord
  9. That's not what I've been informed mate. David the Xman could probably shed more light than me but as far as I'm aware when labeled with Antal the come under marine use!! Quite happily all day long with doubled beast rings. Here is about a 200kg log, the bend radios is what you should be thinking about with heavier loads. The doubles beast rings has the same bend radios as an impact block.
  10. I've been using the x rings for 2 months now. I've not used or even thought to myself a pulley would have been a better tool for the job! To be honest the way things are I cannot see me using nothing but the X rings in the future. Those that do buy the rings under Antal, and yes there the same product! but they don't come under use in tree work. The rings have been re labeled for that very reason! Insurance purposes ect!!
  11. Stihl 026 wood boss! Needs a little TLC but still runs! When it wants
  12. Bugger!! I was going to splice my new 16mm line when I get it. I might just give that idea a miss now! Or I suppose I could do it then use as and when but use the un spliced end like normal
  13. I did a little comparing here just to give people a little insight 😊 LXRR that's the seconded biggest 28x20, compared to the pinto rig. Pinto....weight 159g LXRR.... 120g Pinto.... Max rope Dia 16mm LXRR.... 28mm Pinto.....strength 50kn MBS LXRR..... Unsure of the MBS but a SWL of 6400kg Pinto......bend ratio of 30mm LXRR...... 31mm Max spicing diameter Pinto... 14mm LXRR....20mm Pinto cost £34 +VAT LXRR cost £14+VAT You decide
  14. That's easy just carry a shape knife where ever you go! Haaa! Only ever temporary put a bina on my ropes when I see the need to. Otherwise there off and it's back to hitches
  15. I have this as my top anchor but really depending on what angles I can create with the LXRR to make it easy. And a little chart for you mate The beast ring is not on this chart!
  16. Had them sent over from the Xman himself mate I had to splice up a load myself but I've not touched a pulley in about 2 months
  17. Na I enjoy it, more when the ground crew want to learn. I did some tall skinny ask trees over hanging a newly built property back in September, I had only worked with that crew once before and the only rigging we did was basic. Anything even remotely advanced would of just been a pain in the arse, for me and also them. So instead of setting up rigging and tag lines and escape being tangled all the time, I just set a simple zip line!! They was amazed! I like to use what's easiest to explain and simple for them to setup. It makes the job even more enjoyable to know there learning and I haven't got to keep going down because something got hung up or some other crap haha! Then saying that it is very nice to work with a crew that knows what your doing before you've even said it lol Glad you liked it though mate
  18. Golf course hybrid poplar dismantle, between a few birch trees, all we had to do was get it on the floor in good time with minimal damage to the surrounding trees. Little clip of me setting the rigging up and carrying out the task. Nice and simple. No music and the sounds a little muffled as I left the waterproof back on!! oh well. Set to HD and enjoy
  19. House wouldn't be an Arb house if it had no sawdust! I have a collection in the kitchen, bathroom and the spare bedroom! Maybe a little stockpile in the bedroom under the bed
  20. Yeah it also crossed my mind too! Can't imagine why I didn't to be honest!! Must of been a good reason I guess
