  1. She'd have sunk it the field about 20ft mate! Nothing was getting or is getting on there for a very long time!
  2. lol I didn't mean to come across sarcastic haha! Quickly just replied whilst having a...... Lift was available and very accessible, shaved an hour of the job at least and less fatigue me haha
  3. Everyone wanted a bit o groundy action so they got it. Afraid you can't please everyone. You do well to shift that lift even at full reach its 12ton. Safe as houses. Everything is fine with Fred, tell it how it is and most songs of his I can relate to. Again with music you can't please everyone Thanks though bud
  4. Mmmmm! Ok mate thanks for the advice I'll remember that next time!!!
  5. Mate you've lost me completely about hitting the lift?? If I touched the lift it was minor! Had one shake on the boom from the rigging anchor knocking into it but that's about it. Camera chipped has already been done mate
  6. Yeah there where a few more we pulled back like that, nice control when dealing with graves like that. I've done moths of work in cemetery's this last few years! Loved every job. Good challenge:) Cheers gerb glad you enjoyed it at least mate as I know how much you wanted to see it haaa! It was originally 12 minutes long but I shortened it down by half just to help others that don't have a long attention span Missed loads out though oh well Thanks mate
  7. Was lucky enough to get a lift almost right next to this tree, made for a nice comfy day. Had to install a climbing line at one point as we ran out of outreach. The limb that had ripped out destroyed around about 7 graves but left a lot near by to contend with. A total or 3 7/12 ton loads of wood and 2 load of chip through the course of the day. Nothing over complicated to rig of but we had to get it all back into the grave yard from the field side as the field was like a swamp! Anyway adjust to HD and enjoy
  8. That's good in way a Gordon. Bad for other nice one though I'll save some penny's up. Been using the rope runner for a couple of weeks now. Will be nice to compare when I see rich at cutters and climbers
  9. To be fair I've never had a problem untying them mate, I don't think they really load heavy, think it all depends on how much the line is redirected from the crown.
  10. No I mainly run the wrench, I've been playing on the rope runner just lately but there both other threads The hitchhiker is lovely and I get on with it well. I like to change when and where it suits.
  11. Depends if your referring to the working line or the anchor line mate! Work line would use to much rope to base tie. (Obviously depending on how long the climbing line is. 50m in this case.) chocking the anchor line is ok if you've pre installed the ring! Otherwise joining the 2 lines would mean you would either have to tie rope on rope or use a bina! Either way for me this way would be impractical.
  12. In that case think of it this way! Does a spider jack sit nice and central in DRT? It does. The termination end centralises the system when attached to the Dynema sling. It may not be much out in degrees! But it would matter once your weight is on it! There DRT devices! Not for single line use! With or with a wrench or HH
  13. I've done a couple of videos lately with 2 different retrievable top ties! I may do something similar. Not sure yet but thanks
  14. Alpine butterfly, 8 wrap Prussic (it's better to have more of an area covered as you want more friction than what a 6 wrap Prussic would create) and 2 triple fishermans to attach the Ring. Oh and a marlin spike to add the weight at the bottom of my climbing system. Think that's everyone?? Lol
  15. The duel line base anchor is great for tall trees or when tying a base anchor with the working line will use up line you may need. Completely adjustable and closed. NOT for rescue.
  16. Not at all! One is designed for one leg of rope the other designed for 2. If the spider jack is not loaded from the centre and the side they will offset.
  17. At the distance I was retrieving there's no real advantage either way, both retrieve smoothly. I only tied in that way as the pinto was in my harness and using it for it out the way. Retrieving from a long distance or through redirects then that setup wins hands down for me mate.
  18. Coming in from long limbs?? Don't you use redirects mate?
  19. Yes I agree reg does post some great stuff. The reason behind me posting this was something Benn had posted on another video the other night. Video making does take a lot of effort and time. God only knows how much time goes into August's videos or Aces or Reg's for that matter. My 2 new videos took me the best part of 6 hours each to do, ok it's all new software for me so still getting to grips. But it's the lack of response to the videos that's the main concern. Ok where not asking for every Tom dick and Harry to post nice job mate well done. Or even Christ that was so shite.. I just don't think people realise what some videos aim to achieve. Be it for entertainment or for learning. There all aimed at someone down the line. So when I ask what it is you all want to see in a video I mean this with intent to supply. So besides all the boobs that's been mentioned there has been some learning for me. At least I know what some of you want
  20. Ok so let me get this straight... You want!! Setting up the job and discussing how it's going to be done, then throw line climbing line insulation, climbing of various pieces like work position, limb walking ect.... Tying a few knots, for rigging whist maybe doing a reduction?!! Or deadwood. Few action shots of the chipper and ground grew! Maybe about 10 different angles of the same job?! Maybe the journey home, having my tea whilst we're at it! Only to get my mrs tits out.. All in 5 minutes??? How about we just skip to the tits at the end??
