  1. That's very useful info, thanks.
  2. Evenin' all, I've just picked up a 254 but at some point it's lost its spikes. Does anyone have a set they might want to part with?
  3. Check the turbo hoses are tight and there aren't any holes in them, even a small hole will make it run badly.
  4. ....and it's Bishop Brennan to you young man!
  5. It's tree sap that's been through an aphid, still a bugger when it's all over yer paintwork.
  6. Could do with a picture of a twig but I'd say Rowan.
  7. Sycamore without a doubt. Apart from being reasonable firewood it has no redeeming features at all. No flowers, no fruit not even any autumn colour. And it drips sap all over your car. Get rid I say!
  8. Looks like Sequoia sempervirens but I've never seen one go that colour!
  9. I've used the Stihl one a lot and find it nice and comfy with a big Stihl strimmer ( which incidentally kicked the arse of any of the big Huskies we've had).
  10. Wareings buildings are the best! My Missus's Dad is one of their welders
  11. What seems mad to me is that we dump millions of tonnes of flammable rubbish in landfills every year, surely we should be burning it in power stations?
  12. Apparently there was a day last winter when not a single windmill in the whole of the UK was turning. Since coal/nuclear power stations can't be turned on and off just like that, IMHO windmills are just an expensive, irrelevant eyesore. Plenty of farmers will get rich out of them but they won't save the planet.
  13. If you find a tidy 242xp or 254xp in there I might be interested :-)
  14. Cut it back to sound wood and cross your fingers. It should sprout from lower down in the spring.
  15. I bought a boat a few years ago and it came with an ancient JAP outboard which was so defeaning I only used it once before selling it on!
  16. Crilley!!!
  17. Hi Rich, it's hard to tell from that pic, can you post a couple more, perhaps a wider view? Pete.
  18. Morso Squirrel here, currently using about 2 barrow loads a week.
  19. I would love to try Aspen but the only dealer for 40 miles won't be getting any in until spring because he says it's not viable to buy any less than a pallet load and he can't afford to have that much stock hanging around waiting for the lawnmowing season to start.
