  1. My wife and I were dismayed at the lucicrious rules and laws introduced during Covid, along with the bait of free money for, "business loans" and pretending to work from home, whether on 100% or 80% wages, and the very ready compliance from the populace to fall into line. We both realised that normal society was therefore ****************ed. My wife was a teacher and was genuinely concerned at how the school childrens education and futures were going to be ****************ed. I was Ex Council and knew how the significent numbers of lazy ****************ers with the Council would game the system. We both knew how the unscrouplous business types would game the system. We have been proved correct in all respects. Plus long Covid and Social Anxity was an absolute gift for the DLA/PIP grifters. Society is truely ****************ed. No apology for the censored expletivies, since it is the only way I can express the true depth of my enduring despair.
  2. The cousin runs a Honda engined generator/welder, it has been playing up this while(and no disgrace to it with the use it has seen) back to the supplying dealer a few times, without success, until they finally fitted a cheapie Chinese copycat carb. Now 100%. I was up there today an he told me this pertinent snippet.
  3. What exactly is the "legal limit" for cocaine, ZERO I can only imagine.
  4. I simply looked at the best power to weight ratio when I bought the wee 026, though I was lusting after the then 036, I can only presume that the Pro saws will always have higher power to weight figures(and be significently more expensive) than the hobby/farm models. But back then, in the middle/late 90's, I also figured the Stihl hobby/farm/pro lineup was simpler to understand than the vast array of Husquvarna models on offer.
  5. May I comment that I am perhaps a trifle sensitive to tradesmen looking at the size(largeish, but very plain) of the house we built, then computing the acreage it is sitting in, and thereby adjusting there prices! I fear it does happen, consiously or unconsiously, "cos, hey, "they" can afford it", Btw. Tis is a phrase I have heard farming neighbours use in respect of better doing neighbours. No Ferraries, Bentlys or RR's here though. Only 2 parked-up scrap cars in the back field!
  6. Cept we took the opportunity to stock up with a refill which was needed plus 2 extra 34Kg cylinders of propane when oil prices went nuts after Russia invaded Ukraine. And, guess what, over here at least, in N.I., Calors prices were contractually fixed, guessing for a 12 month period, so we only paid the fixed pre-conflict cost. And a 34Kg cyl lasts us a 12 month, near enough exactly.. Cos, I know, cos for a couple of years in a row, the cylinder ran out on Christmas day! And, for Gawds sake, dont tell me freezers are expensive to run, since the wife keeps 3 filled, a 21 cu ft chest freezer outside, an full size upright one in the utility, plus the Yankee style fridge/freezer in the kitchen (and it used to be 4!, until the other comrade 21 cu ft outside shit itsel) Now need to get over the mountain and raid some of the massive quantities of wild garlic that has invaded the hedge bottoms around the brothers garden.
  7. The shite I listened to about magic infalliable Yellow Rattle while I was with the Council was boke inducing. I favoured beneign neglect, for nature, though despite explaining(despite lacking any formal "education" in the subject matter) that for a pretty grass filled hay meadow, one needed to allow the grass and flowers to seed, and then cut and work the cut forage until dry enough for hay, to ensure the seeds were left behind, before removing the arisings, to impoverish the ground over years and years and years. Nope sow Yellow rattle and then bale it off for silage. FFS!
  8. Sorely disappointed I am, I was expecting to read about a young(an with supporting YouTube video, natch) and upcoming chainsaw juggler. Still well impressed Ollie, regardless. Marcus, theHat
  9. Eggs, I also clearly stated my clear belief(& personal knowledge) of how susceptible to abuse the postal voting system is, and how widespread this abuse is, based on the phenomenal rise in the numbers demanding a PV, almost certainly managed by various political factions and parties. As was the case here in N.I. 50-45 year ago. What can be done about it is something of an intractable problem, is the problem, but the first step would be to correctly manage eligibility for access to a PV. Oh! Re Bojo and I.D. cards, I agree with the assessment Andy postulates on Bojo's likely stance, the clear difference between Plod demanding to see an I.D. card "whenever" and the need to prove who you are when voting. Again this need for voter I.D. has become more pertinent in recent years with the greater general mobility of the population and excerbated in certain "ghetto" areas in larger conurbations.
  10. What "demographic" was your polling station located in? Like a traditional settled rural area, or a more "metropolitan" area Peter?
  11. My strongly held POV on this matter goes back to Shakespeare, "Methinks he doth protest too much", (to be innocent), which is to say, those on the left know rightly how widespread voter fraud is, which is exactly why they are protesting so vociferously. And the blatent abuse of the postal voting system, FFS! Tower Hamlets anyone? And, folks, bear in mind that we here in N.I. have always been at the bleeding edge of voter turnout and voter fraud(And my father was a local Councillor, 40 year ago, so I have some personal knowledge), which is why, along with our PR system, we need to produce ID to vote, and this is closely monitered by party reps in those finely balanced or critical wards. So, perhaps both PR and voter ID need to be introduced for all elections in England Scotland and Wales. Would that keep everyone happy?
  12. Joe, I fitted a Nextbase, they supply various models with compatible/add-on rear cameras. Crystal clear footage too and simple to fit.
  13. As in, I can get a much free paint, and perfectly legitimately too, from our local C A site(aka the skip bay) I did a wee recce today and blagged a selection(as did Senior Management for her craft projects stash, sigh) So kinda know to rule out emulsion, and watery fence defence type products, plus old fashioned oil based paints are thin on the ground, so was thinking masonry paint? Being exterior and high solids. Thoughts P.S. Too mean(and I don't even know the cost) to buy SBR. Hey, free is hard to beat.
  14. I got the G Wagens insured with our local UFU. For a pittance really. Asked recently about adding our son to the policy for him to keep and drive 1 of them at his Belfast address, no problems, an extra 80 quid for the 9 months remaining on the policy. Also no problems with "modifications" in respect of one of them being re-engined with an OM 605 diesel in place of the origonal OM 617 diesel, and fully declared. Mind you they are looking about £500.00 to insure the 2 year old Rav4 for 3 of us just now.

Anyone who has changed a nappy, should not have any issues with lifting dog shite. FFS, I have quite often had to pull a grass reinforced klingon from the bulldogs arse, with my bare hands. P.S. I have reason to suspect the Bulldog in question, being wor Boudica, likes the experience even less that I do.

Our Son has had his brown bin refused emptying, because fornicating dog walkers "pop" their bagged dog shite in it sitting at the kerb waiting to be emptied. Probably the same fornicator that used to flip the dog shite bag into his hedge, before I took the hedge away. Some people are simply dirty scumbags.
  18. All I know is, having considered fitting a wet wood stove the time we built the garden room, and also considered fitting wet solar panels for DHW, is that for the tiny amount of kero we burn to provide DHW during the summer months, it simply could not be made to make economic sense. I established our daily/weekly/monthly oil consumption by wiring in a old "flick-flak" electric clock to moniter our daily boiler run times. Now for a new build, yes it would make sense to consider the options. Auto Flip Down Clock Non-ticking Calendar Clock with Day Date Display GBR.GRANDADO.COM Specifications: - Style: Modern - Screen Type: Needle - Origin: CN(Origin) - Model Number: Flip Down Clock - Material: Plastic - Form: Single Face - Feature: Calendars - Display Type:...
  19. S'all right here, just had lunch sitting out by. Most pleasent it was and is.
  20. I have seen a couple of these advertised. I am shite at learning other languages(and having no ear for music may play a part) so this concept appeals to me(did Star Trek have such a gizmo btw?) P.S. How on earth do they deal with dialects? Artificial intelligence at work? Thoughts please. Mth
  21. Up the Moss fetching down some Lodgepole pine, to cut and split and stack over the summer. With the resin pumping out of the stump instantly after cutting it should have extra burning value methinks! I though the old girl looked rather fetching in the first image was all. The big Ash are too good to cut up for firewood( and zero iron or other contamination that I have found, since the roadside had never ever been fenced) to be joined by more selected Ash and the better, straighter heavier lengths of Hawthorn( which is the firewood in the 3rd pic). Bonus photo. She bagged her man(aka he chased her till she caught him!), the one with the 2012 Professional G Wagen plus an OM 606 re-engined 40 year old G as a daily driver. He was the bloke that sorted my leaky injection pump(on the 461 van)that no one else would even look at btw. P.S. Any desperate fathers with unmarried daughters that might be interested in wor recently single and unmarried 31 year old Son? Marcus
  22. I, aged 64, saw an Emperor moth for the first time in my life afaiaa earlier this week, sitting on the wall at the front door. A beauty of a thing.
  23. Simply astounding vison and craftsmanship Andrew, making for lovely lovely furniture.
  24. Nice looking house hiding behind the tree!
