  2. I have saved the link to favorites:001_smile: I never knew it was that easy Im all for this and was behind Hodge when he tried a similar thread. Ill post a couple of items tmr on the thread
  3. Contact the chilrens trust and ask if the can arrange free postage. In aid of the blind used to issue a sticker that meant parcels were sent free of charge.
  4. The fact that they have to be collected or a carrier organised is going to be the killer. Im only saying it as I see it, I hope you dont mind ? and I as sure as hell aint knocking what your doing as its a fantastic gesture.
  5. Great idea but I cant help thinking your going to get endless requests to post the saws, or are you happy to do this ?
  6. Sounds like the NFU aint NFG
  7. Man thats a beast
  8. Any chance you guys that have cheap policies can also mention who they are with please
  9. Nice but the horse shoe is up side down, all your luck will fall out
  10. I wish I was half the man you see in my avatar Thats Nacho Libre probably the best wrestler in the world evers, his secret is eagle eggs, they give him the eagle powers
  11. Pack it in lads this is supposed to be a serious thread
  12. I used to use VC saws in Chichester for sharpening the chipper blades but they packed up , then used A Foreshew in lavant but they packed up so I sharpen my own now. Sawrite is the only company I know of now, they're based in Littlehampton and their number is 01903 738631 that is if they have'nt also packed up .
  13. As you may well imagine with a sir name like mine the ammount of conversations it opens up along the lines of rabbits and shooting means I have never struggled to find land to shoot. As for eating rabbit its not one of my favorite meats thanks to mixie why the hell they released such a horrible disease on an animal that fed this nation through rationing in the war is beyond me. A local butcher was selling farm reared rabbits for £8.50 each.
  14. I dont blame you mate.
  15. Top and tail, feat off at the nuckles, skin as you would a rabbit but dont gut it until its fully skinned.
  16. You could be on to something there
  17. With food prices always going up and quality going the opposite way Im glad I have other sources of food available to me and my family. I have turned down pheasent and fowl in the past but my thinking has changed, Im going to put the word out and fill the freezer this season.
  18. A very clean meat both to cook and eat, the oil in the frying pan came out as clean as it went in. As for flavour, Its like chicken but without the fishy after taste. the meat parts from the bone well the only down side is 2 squirells were'nt really enough for a growing lad like myself.
  19. Really pleased for you Ian
  20. Been thinking of trying squirrel for years but been put off by peoples comments about them being tree rats and the like . Boiled these 2 and then fried them with a couple of rashers of bacon If they have to be shot or trapped chucking them in the hedge is a real waste boiled for 20 minutes and fried makes a tasty meal
  21. We had a heli hover over us a couple of weeks ago it was massive and matt black, it was like having a man made death cloud of metal over our heads, scary stuff. The mood was lightened when I told groundy it was probably a sea king and his reply was " yeah its definatly up to something " He though I said seeking
  22. Very little living elm down here in sussex so doubt Ill ever have the pleasure of milling one, did the owner of the trees get green eyed at the sight of the planks ?
  23. Nice one Burrell:thumbup1: What will you do with the planks ?
  24. Pictures: Marines strap themselves to chopper for daring rescue | Mail Online
  25. If the tree threw a shadow over the garden but the lower limbs provided a screen then all the boxes have been ticked. I know a chap with a cat that was hit by a car it now has only 3 legs, it looks as daft as a brush hopping along but the chap still loves it and it catches the odd rat so still contributes. The cats happy his owners happy and the vet got paid If asked to do this and retaining the height was'nt an option I would have been happier to top it than remove it all together. If the spec was a reduction and thin with a canopy raise then thats a different story
