  2. Hi folks, I picked up an Mac 335 the other day, sparks well, got good compression etc but no go Someone has removed the plastic screw position holders and been tinkering. So if you know what the standard settings are for the screws I'd appreciate it It's also missing it's air filter, would that affect the mixture too badly?

  4. Hi guys, I have quite a few people interested in these rustic log trains, it's not really my thing but I have to say I'm kind of looking forward to making a few. If there are any companies local to Dartford that are taking down anything they think I can use to make these, then I'd appreciate your help. I can obviously clear from site or arrange for you to drop off a load for me, happy to come to an arrangement regarding costs. Can anyone help?
  5. Many thanks for the info guys, if it has to wait until November it's not a problem, I've got a whole garden to design so will be busy. The lady is on a zero budget so it's not going to get transformed over night. I'll chase a few firms in the area and see what I can find.
  6. Morning folks, I'm on the hunt for a decent amount of Willow or Hazel sticks to build a Willow Tunnel for a young child's sensory garden in the Gravesend Kent area. It's something I'm doing for free so I'd appreciate any ideas as to where I can get hold of what I need, anyone know someone in North Kent that could help with materials? It's not something I've done before so any advice would be appreciated
  7. Hi folks, I've been working on a log planter this morning and discovered strange patterns under the bark as I stripped it. There were no marks on the outside but I think its either Ivy or a bug of some sort. The picture don't really do it justice as it's quite a nice pattern Anyone advise what's caused it please.
  8. Hi guys, I've recently started making items from a fallen Robinia in my garden and would like to get my hands on some more interesting items. I'm mainly looking for slices of trunk and would like to get my hands on a decent 3' round piece of well shaped trunk to make a table. If you're local to me in Dartford I'd appreciated any help, I'm not looking for much just a few bits to take away, happy to pay small amount or help out on site and can obviously chop up my own wood Please PM me if you can help.

Hi folks, I'm on the look out for wood that I can use to make items from, chairs, clocks etc. I'm mainly looking for 3-4" rounds of interesting wood or possibly 3-4' lumps of trunk that I can shape. I've recently started making things from a Robinia that came down in my garden and I've got the bug real bad So if you're local to me in Dartford then I'd appreciate any help you could give, please PM me if you can. Happy to come on site and chop up my own stuff and give a hand clearing

  13. Hi folks, I have a fallen Robinia in the garden, I've had a few large lumps off it since it dropped about a year ago and Im wondering how long it would normally take to season it. I'm not looking to burn this wood, actually want to make some tables from it. Thinking about slicing a few 3" rounds off and sanding them back etc.

  18. Hi folks, I'm thinking of popping out to search for some Oak and Sweet Chestnut limbs in my local woods. Would like to know what the rules are regarding using a saw etc and the wood removal itself.

Many thanks for the advice chaps, I'm just recovering from a bad moment with a chop saw and my thumb nail so I'll be taking it super slow :-) I shall get hold of a file and give it a good sharpen. Anyone got any links to one of these in use so I can get an idea of it capabilities, it mentions a cutting depth of 20mm. I'll certainly check out those Sabertooth disks as well.
  21. Hi folks, I brought this item a while ago and know nothing about it really. I had a look at the so called blade today and to me it seems knackered. I've had a go at piece of stump with it and it only seems to melt/burn. Any advice welcome
