  1. I use quickbooks it took a while to find my way about I got it free with Barclays when I opened a account with them. One thing I would say it might be worth while getting some training on it. Once I got the hang of it I found it very easy to use. I just send a copy to my accountant every 3 months for my VAT and once a year and that's my accounts sorted I love it

  2. We do a fair bit of fencing but I sub all of mine out and make a little from it :) and the guys I use help me out a fair bit they have some nice kit post knocker on a small tractor and on an a avant they also an auger on it.

  3. some have a minumum limit for each month, usually £300 ive found.

apart from the fuel genie that ive gone for it doesnt say that i can see so none i done think.

No min spend on fuel genie :) I think I ve 3k limit on mine when I first got it about 2 years ago for the first month or 2 they only gave me £500 then went up to £1200 then £3000 with out me asking really would recommend them.

Only downside is you can only use tesco and morrisions but tbh I've got a tesco/morrisions in most main routes across Norfolk

  4. I have fuel genie as well as said before you can have it with a reg plate on it or just a name or just blank use it for any types of fuel car wash oil etc.. If u have a Tom Tom you can download a shape file for it and has all of the petrol stations on it just ask the Tom Tom ur nearest one. Oh and u can set a limit on each card as well. You get the Bill on the 1st of every month a full break down of your use then you pay on the 12th and it all free. Great service when you ring them up as well.

  5. That's how I understand it.... so if the buyer of the trailer in the OP is VAT registered and buys it 'with no VAT', they can't claim it back nor add it on if they sell it. The VAT has been paid on the new price, the revenue are happy because they've retained VAT at it's highest value, once it's 'dropped out' of the system it can't then become 'VAT-able' again...?

This is how understand it. But I maybe wrong. I am not an expert but I pay a very good accountant to be one so all I can do is do what he says.

  6. All the guys I know who worked for fountains on the ukpn contract have been offered jobs by BTS which is good news also I know a few subbie guys that have gone over to BTS already

    Dave

We both know it's a bit more than just money the contract has been badly run from day one as soon as they fell behind in year one they would never catch up again soo they had to spend more trying to get it back on track thus fountains loosing money and wanting to withdraw from it.

But on fountains defence it was very had getting the subbies due to most of them working for BTS and not wanting to risk moving over.

  7. A good customer of mine called to day and said they have had a tree fall over can we sort it ASAP if it had gone the other way would have mad a mess!!!

A lot of the trees are in decline and are very near the house

I would say 90% of the trees close to the house have this around the base

Also around the base of a very large beech very close to the house

So I think a bit more investigation work is needed

  8. Tom I had some thing very similar a while back so I called them and they said I had a debt of £354!! I have never taken a loan store card etc... So I asked them to send me over all the info and the credit agreement with my signature on it. They got really nasty on the phone telling me to pay it now or they will send the bailiffs round! I just said send me all the relevant paper work mainly the credit agreement and once I was happy it was my debt I would pay. Funny I have not heard back from them and it was over 6months ago! Now i feel sorry for the people that they send this sort of letter to who maybe scared into paying.

    It's disgusting!!!
