  1. Yes mate well was on eBay but did not buy it through eBay. real chuffed with it done a fair with it now and not missed a beat! The service I received was great phoned the guy @ 14:30 and it was in the yard @ 13:00 the next day. Done some real horrible bits and it did not stop it.
  2. My little log splitter
  3. Tom is that off EBay? I got one off there that looks like your one for about £340 really really impressed with I've done about 30 cube with it and not had a problem with it! I think the company was KTM machinery Great value for your money great service. Don't get me wrong I've only had it 1 month but its done really well and if your not doing logs full time I would really recommended it.
  4. Hi I think you will find this is not Cscs Your doing this because the contractor your working for does not need to have Cscs as he is not a main contractor I've worked on many sites that do this and saves having Cscs guys is the site running for more than as this also makes a differance. As said above its a mine field
  5. Most of my work is on construction sites and this is what I had to do. Cscs test (Red card) general operative Then I had to do a days health and safety course with BALI which at the end of the course I received a white card which I was told was for my trade ie tree surgeon Then I had to go back and do another cscs test For a black card (manager) It's mad as I hold a higher health and safety qualification than most of the H&S mangers on site! But it all depends who the principle contractor on site is been on a few sites and you don't need Cscs you will find on some big sites that the guys who work directly for the principle contractor don't have cscs they sit a 1 day H&S course with no test at the end.
  6. Ben if you do need another guy I can do it or another one of the climbers that work for me can
  7. Many thanks time to treat myself
  8. Maybe a daft question who makes the green smock as I am looking for one and is it any good? Now off to order my tickets :-)
  9. What I did was found a load of logs at about 4ft long and strapped them to another tree and practiced that way. I know you don't get the end result of a tree falling over but at least you can do it safely ( does not matter if u do it wrong)
  10. I've got a Unimog and a can of beans what else would I need?
  11. I've been climbing for just over 7 years and I built my confidence up really quickly due to my boss really pushing me. But last year I stopped climbing due to a bad back and having better and younger climbers working for me I am now climbing again and I have lost my confidence and now building it back up again! I never thought I would lose it!
  12. Hi, feel free to give me a bell on 07880795462 to discuss further may have some work for you. Ed

  16. Give me a call in the morning on 07880795462 Ed
  17. Done .....
  18. I brought a 12k mog and its came back and bit me on the arse a few times its all good now (apart for the damage the other week) if I was going to sell it I would buy a tractor with a roof mount and a big trailer
  19. I use this one Mainly on the flat But I've never used it in a woodland for the price you might be better off getting a small tractor with a loader on the front. As for attachments stuff like the flail ( hydraulic powered ) make sure you buy one with the bigger pump other wise it's real slow. I had a quick read of your other thread about starting up, I wish you the best of luck :-)
  20. My mog and new Hilux
  21. Yer we do 99% of the clearance work for new roads etc in Norfolk it's not the most fun work but it pays the bills! I am slowly turning my back on domestic work as it not my cup of tea and when ever I worked for other company's I did clearance work so that's what I am used to and tbh I am not very good at fancy reductions lol Clearance is easy and that's what I am geared up for
  22. And a few more but not from today as I can't work without my mog :-(
  23. Here some work from last job And some from a site clearance at tesco
  24. Treebloke it was on site
  25. Ooh and no it's not going to the pirates again ;-)
