  1. I want the tree brought down the safest way this is why I posted this.I have a wife and two young children and I will not risk anything over a tree I am keen to learn the trade not kill myself

Hello I was after some advice on the best way the safely bring down this oak, I am new to climbing so have not got years of experence under my belt it's a twin stem oak that has split and the right hand one is hung up on the the two trees. my problem is the the limb furthest away in the picture as its higher than the neighbouring tree and there is no branches close enough near it to get on to it. I was thinking of branch walk down one stem and stepping over to that one but what do you guys think any advice would be appreciated many thanks Paul

  19. Im not saying your wrong yes it is deciduous but in a shelted location it would still hang on to the folaige and if it is a sequoia it must be in a very windy area you might be right the cones are in the right place:biggrin:
  20. my local dealer sells alot of then and he seams to rate them highly
  21. 1st one taxodium distichum not a metasequoia they have oppisite shoots taxodium has alternate 2nd female cupressus arizonica glabra case closed
  22. mine are about 35mm from the the tip to the bottom ir that makes sense
  23. you won't be disapointed I have got the ali ones comfy quick and easy to put on I tryed someones carbon fibre ones on was not overwelmed same thing but about £60 more for less ajustment
