  1. I haven't won anything for ages not even a tombola at a village fete
  2. Sweet. You dont mind the occasional scratchy bit or overstretch do ya?
  3. Dad and i have finalised a date. 7th April. We will be meeting at Tescos Blandford near the bottle bank at 9.30am. We will be doing a mixture of fords, mud, surfaced tracks. The route is a secret until the day as we will wait to see what the weather does the week before. PM for further details.
  4. Not a fan of Tinchy stryder but i am liking this song with pixie lott. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aa1Ej_Vqv0A&list=HL1331327478&feature=mh_lolz]Tinchy Stryder - Bright Lights ft. Pixie Lott - YouTube[/ame]
  5. Over the past couple of weeks we have noticed that one of our MS341's pops through the carb on warm starting. It has done it atleast 15 times when i have been there. Any idea what may be causing it and if any damage is being caused as it is a little bit rich (blue smoke when under load and under high revs)?
  6. Found a monster on a Blackthorn today. The stem is only 14mm in diametre.
  7. Had a report of drug paraphernalia in a play area we are taking on the management of in April. I was anticipating nothing more than a homemade bong. I just about hit the roof when i found a bag full of needles both used and clean. Both sharps boxes were empty.
  8. Nice shot of "money" fungus:thumbup:
  9. Its a 1 mile stretch (including ramps, and adjoining paths). I think 100 tons of Mendip stone type 3 to dust was used. 80 ton was put on the sheet but we had an extra 20 ton as a freebie as the contractor had underestimated how much stone was required.
  10. My local stretch of trailway has just been resurfaced. It was scraped before the stone was put down as the surface was 8 years old and getting very rough in places. Here are the before and after pictures.
  11. Todays task in the rain. 2 stiles one eitherside of a small paddock. Then a sleeper bridge where the van got stuck. The tracks were perfectly driveable but only if you kept momentum.
  12. Going this year. Its at Belvoir Castle, Grantham My dad and i are thinking of camping for 1 night up there as it is a lot of travelling in one day.
  13. Our 10 plate ranger had just had a new set of bfg all terrain on the back and new rear UJ's. The clicking in the suspension was caused by blown shock absorber seals.
  14. Yup. Its the second time it has happend in 2 weeks.
  15. Pigeons nesting and blue tits and great tits using boxes put up last autumn. Unfortunately dropped an ivy clad sycamore with a large squirrel drey in it today. It had 6 babies and the mother. Mother was dispatched as were the young. Didnt see the drey till it hit the floor.
  16. Slacking at the moment although i did put a picture of the new stretch of old railway line we are currently having cleared and surfaced. its in the lounge under the gains cross section.. Spent 2 more days clearing the paddock then 2 days doing tree work at a school. Got complaints from the teachers about the noise from the chipper ha ha.
  17. Dad and i run 235/85/R16 Insa Turbo Dakar (BFG M/T KM1 Remoulds). No problems to report. They used to rub on full left lock but it took about 30 mins to sort out. Looking at getting a set of 265/86/r16 when the current set wear out.
  18. Here is a picture of the new stretch of trailway. The picture is taken off what would have been the cutting height.
  19. Looking at the picture it looks like there is some buckling/burring going on about 3-4 metres up the trunk. What colour are the leaves in the summer and how big are they? I am thinking a brown cubical rotter is working happily away and it has attacked the cambium (living tissues) which is the tree is dying back. The tree is still savable with the the dead wood being removed and a light reduction back to strong growth points.
