  3. Thank you sir:thumbup: I have learnt from the best on here
  4. Where are my chat room clan tonight:bored:
  5. Was shooting next to this big Beech which when i started beating on the shoot was upright. I found out today why it is on the move. Badgers are digging the soil out from the tension side and it has Honey fungus and kretz on the compression side. I recon it may be over by the start of next season as it still has a very full crown all going one way.
  6. It just shows how early everything is flowering. Got cowslip coming out in flower already.
  7. Found a monster Larch with an equally good lean and the beginnings of a shear bomb/tension crack on the tension side of the root plate. It was clicking and cracking when we had the Jan winds.
  8. Nice bit of Pussy Willow coming into blossom now.
  9. Its out now but its going for a full rebuild as the engine was full of seawater and the hydraulics all need replacing despite it being only 3 months old.
  10. A full sleeper bridge replacement despite it only saying two stiles and one more sleeper on the job sheet and a stile repair about half a mile walk away from the sleeper bridge. Really happy how the sleeper bridge came out as we were going to be a post short but got round that.
  11. We have some Asulox left but we normally use Grazon 90. It will kill Bracken and Docks as well as if not better than Asulox. We have about 8 litres of Asulox left but it is about 10 years old.
  12. Third picture from the bottom is the same make and model of Crichel Estates old gun Bus. The have a newer K reg model with a Cummins 4 litre V8
  13. One of our contractors had cut down and extracted about 40 ton of timber on a new stretch of trailway. It was in 8 ft lengths and the contractor had everything ready to go to have it moved today. The lot had gone between 4pm yesterday and 7am this morning. It was all going for timber and logs too.
  14. Found these little critters atop one of my local Iron Age Hill Forts. I was out with colleagues but my inner fung nut got the better of me and i just had to get a picture.
  15. BBC News - Man burnt in explosion at fuel station demolition in Dorset The man is very lucky to be alive just as well my dad was in the village about 100 mtres away.
  16. Peziza sp? on rotting woodchip.
  17. Even trees smile after they have been cut down.
  18. Found this one. The garage is a top place as they deal with nothing but land rovers and if needs be they can add extra bits. LAND ROVER DEFENDER TIPPER 1 OWNER FROM NEW- Auto Trader UK
  19. It does a bit. There is a blockage underneath the sleeper bridge so hopefully because it is a well used path we will be doing it soon and clearing the blockage so the puddle can drain away.
  20. Tonights very atmospheric display.
  21. Did a few rights of way jobs after a morning of burning up on an ancient monument in very thick fog. Took all of 20 minutes to cut down one dead blackthorn and a few branches here and there. Got a stile step to replace and a full sleeper bridge over a ford outlet.
  22. It all depends on what the weather does the week before. If it is dry we will do the fun ones (fords, stretchy bits, etc) if it is wet we may do our usual ones which we know are drivable in the wet.
  23. These two flowers should be out in flower until April/May. The first is a White Dog-violet (Viola riviniana). The second is Germander Speedwell (Veronica chamaedrys).
  24. I bet the company are embaressed. BBC News - Digger stuck in Bridport harbour Should just about get it running with 2 gallons of WD40.
