  1. She is back and is better than before. It turns well, brakes very well and there is less of a clunk from the drivetrain. No body roll or after bump rebound either. Shall get pics as soon as possible.
  2. Finding this song rather catchy at the mo. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eChdxmjHoMw&feature=bf_next&list=HL1350932961]Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and NERVO - The Way We See The World (Official Music Video) [HD] - YouTube[/ame]
  3. I worked with a contractor we used to use before the company he was with went up the creek. I only worked with him for 2 weeks as one of his lads was on paternity leave. I got a free shoot day with anyone i wanted to invite and they got a free day as well. It turned out the day was a 450 bird mixed day worth about £1250 per gun. I still keep in touch with the keeper and the ex-contractor as they work together on the same estate now.
  4. Cheers guys. May have a picture overload on here next sunday if anyone comes to the fung hunt im hosting on the Milldown.
  5. This afternoons findings. 1-6 - Hygrocybe psittacina 7-10 - ?Tricholoma ustale?
  6. Currently at a dealers workbench but got an extremely sick DR 13hp mower. It got very wet last weds and since then it had been running extremely rough. The oil was frothy after turning it over and the air inlet to the carb was black with soot as it has been blowing back with flames at the same time. I suspect we have water in the oil and carb but i have used it in downpours with no problems. Also got a BCS Flail awaiting a full bearing replacement on the flail head after the rear roller decided to go forward and get flung a fair distance by the flail hammers.
  7. Sadly not david. I was looking for it again today but couldn't see it so its either been flattened by a dog or munched by slugs.
  8. Did a hedge for an estate i beat and shoot on locally. It had been put on the 4 year flailing regime but at the end of the season the keeper wanted it laid as it was getting extremely bare underneath. I charged £10 a metre as it was such a nasty job which required alot of cutting and burning. It has recovered well this year. Got plenty more to do at the end of this season.
  9. May have found a rare one this afternoon whilst out with the dogs:thumbup:. According to Rogers Mushrooms Hygrocybe langei is rare. Can you guys and gals confirm that the fungi looks like the same fungi in the link? I think it does but just want another opinion. Rogers Mushrooms - Hygrocybe langei Mushroom
  10. A bus carrying Kingston Maurward College students today fell off the side of a main road in Dorset today. The section of road narrows so lorries have to get over onto the verges which has made the side of the side collapse over time. About 5 years ago a polish timber lorry crashed on the same stretch and damaged the road surface but it was patched. Another lorry went off the road last month at the same point and now a bus full of students. Hopefully the road will be sorted at that point. BBC News - Dorchester college bus carrying 56 students crashes This is a link of the site of the accident. https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=limberlost,+Poole&hl=en&ll=50.757961,-2.05204&spn=0.034207,0.181789&sll=40.589613,-84.959885&sspn=0.011309,0.022724&t=h&hq=limberlost,&hnear=Poole,+United+Kingdom&z=13&layer=c&cbll=50.757982,-2.052019&panoid=bFWzmzt3AezxAkeUBov1-A&cbp=11,312.58,,0,5.18
  11. Will be monitored by myself and the local district TO. If the brackets start apearing elsewhere or the union starts to split then its curtains sadly. Will try and get it turned into a pollard.
  12. The discovery in this video has a 6.2 Chevy deisel V8. Its a cracking truck. Shame it has a VW Polo fuel tank lol. He can do the lanes in 3rd gear on idle. If we did that in the 110 no-one behind can see what is ahead. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMJARO9cDQ0&feature=relmfu]Ox Drove Lake 2 - YouTube[/ame]
  13. Would this come under panic fruiting or just relocating? It is on a twin stemmed Ash and growing in the "pinch point". There is an old and deceased bracket that was growing off a tension root. The main target is a well used tarmac path as the majority of the weight is heading that way. There is no die back in the crown (yet) and the union despite it being tight is still sound. I will monitor the brackets (especially the bottom bracket) and see how quickly they grow.
  14. Thats what i was thinking john as its going to have a very very shiny galv rear cross member so may leave them. May be able to acquire some from a friend of mine up the camp for a full set of front and back bumperettes. Will wait and see.
  15. ZZ Top are back:thumbup: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaIZWjItReI&feature=branded]ZZ Top - I Gotsta Get Paid - YouTube[/ame]
  16. This is what we use for tackling the tussocky stuff. Its ideal for cutting and folding the stuff into easy to shift lines. Stihl 230mm 4 Blade Grass Cutting Brush Cutter Blade
  17. Bit of a odd question but how easy is it to paint galv'd Military spec bumperettes?
  18. We use a Stihl tri-blade metal head for nettles, brambles and heavy grass. If the grass is tussocky we would normally use the rush/sedge blade.
  19. I would say the furthest out fung looks like A mellea and the fung up the stem looks like Sulhpur Tuft. IMO
  20. Found this lovely puffball growing on top of a Yellow Meadow ant hill. I'm thinking along the lines of Calvatia excipuliformis.
  21. The past two days findings. 1-7 - Stropharia cyanea 8-12 - Armillaria mellea 13 - Xylaria hypoxylon
  22. Its two years growth on that so i would call it firewood in another 2 years:lol:
  23. Here is a local HC in 1986. BBC - Domesday Reloaded: Horse Chestnut Tree, Pimperne., from 1986 And here it is now... Need i say anymore. It has Honey fungus in one butress root.
  24. We have a fly tipped fridge and the odd washing machine dropped off down the bottom yard every now and then. Its grwat fun to let lose with a sledge hammer every once in a while. The only piece of kit i have lost my rag with was a KM130R 4 mix. It kept snapping back and nearly ripping my fingers off. So after the 5th pull it was given a two handed pull and i snapped the string and spring in 1 go. Needless to say we replaced the spring and cord and it is still in use. The best stress releiver for me is splitting wood. If i find a knotty piece, lots of curse words appeard and i pretty much get the red mist until it has split.
