  14. Been having a bad run of close losses. But this one has hit me especially hard as was with his dad this morning talking about meeting up and going for a pint this afternoon. He got the dreaded call from his sons mate that he was wiped out by a car but didnt say how badly injured he was.
  15. I lost a very good friend of the family this morning. He was taken out on his motorbike on a morning blast on a local road near Dorchester. Absolutely gutted as i know the family very very well. He was a great guy to be around and could always have a joke around with him. http://www.thisisdorset.net/news/tidnews/10444926.UPDATED__Motorcyclist_killed_in_crash_on_Dorset_road/
  16. We only inform the EA of Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed if it needs to be treated on any of our sites and the spraying is within 25 metres of a watercourse. The rest of the time we just bosh on with it. We only use Glypho 360 next to watercourses because as soon as the chemical hits the river water it becomes super dilute and wont harm anything.
  17. No camera but saw a pair of Hobbies whistling down the river chasing the Swifts, a Red Kite whilst we were on a site in blandford town centre. Then saw a Peregrine, Sparrowhawk and a Merlin in the paddock dad and i were shooting rabbits in.
  18. Think we need a burn up soon as cant get any more stuff in. Also some shots of our 6 Dartmoor ponies.
  19. There is one on the C13 Higher Shaftesbury road just before Fontmell Magna turning.
  20. Sadly Crichel estate shoot is no more due to the sale. There is a large auction of all the gear there on 1st June. http://www.symondsandsampson.co.uk/Uploads/Files/en-GB/Shoot_Catalogue0.PDF
  21. Some pics of flowers in a wildflower bank and the flood arches on Langton Meadows.
  22. Cob and pen with 7 sygnets on the local river. Summer has arrived in Blandford. Loads of Swifts around and saw the first Hobby of the year as well. And a confirmed sighting of a Merlin when i was out on the bunnies this evening.
  23. Todays sighting on a town centre site that members of the public were worried we had taken out too many trees on the river banks.
  24. Got a cub cadet 84cm cut mower in for a new spindle and a DR 13hp mower awaiting a new blade drive belt after the last one which lasted 3 years nearly snapped on me today. The BCS is currently awaiting nearly 200 quids worth of bits which are obsolete now due to the age of our machine.
  25. Bust a belt on our DR field n brush mower and colleague bust a spindle on our fine cut mower trying to cut heavy grass too quickly
