    Now upto 4 vehicles (2 Discos, our 110 and Petes 90). Have room for 1 more.

    It was rather daunting stood on top of it. Looking down at the next set of steps. Next job is to install anti-slip strips and cut the handholds to the same height.

    My first and hopefully last Stile step ladder. It was a right pain in the backside. Due to ground elevation difference and warped wood.

    Cool. Now upto 3 trucks. Got enough room for two more trucks in the convoy. If your scared of scratches we can avoid the ox drove but thats all the fun of green laning. Hopefully its been flailed back.

    Ha ha yup. About £500,000 work paid for by Sustrans. All work apart from fencing anf tree work has been done by In house highways organisation. All tarmaced too.

    This bridge has the A350 (Main trunk road from Poole port to A303) over the top of it. It has 44 ton arctics thundering over it all day every day and occasionally an escorted heavy load (60 ton +). It is being "Shotcreted" as the first course of bricks were working loose with the vibrations of the constant traffic.

    Ha ha. Its my camera pouch but already had the pish ripped out of me for having a leather camera bag.

    Dad and i are out green laning in the first weekend of april. Will be easy stuff with some water thrown in for good measure. Will be the usual lanes with a few hours up on the plain then back home via our swan song lane (Ox Drove off the A354). We are also thinking of having an end of April laning day around the Purbecks.     Managed to take some pictures of a cavity at the base of an Ash. It is being eaten by Dryad's Saddle and the base is showing signs that it is getting close to the minimum t/r ratio.

    Been going picture taking crazy today. Mostly of spring flowers and pics of the recent link from Blandford to Stourpaine.

    I think i may have won this contest on biggest ivy. Its growing on a monster Ash which lost its top in 1987.

    We got some tanalised timber the other day from a well known local agricultural merchants. Some of the 4x2 rail we cut up and the treating was only about 3 mm down at the most. We treated the cut ends. But even the half round rail was only about 5mm down on the rounded edge.

    Just about to get the 18.5hp version of that. We have a 13hp model which is the mutts nuts. We just fell as if we need a bigger version with a bigger deck to improve efficiency.

    Just looked at XCWeather site for Blandford. I am up on the side of a hill tomorrow with a group of college students from 10-2 ish doing heathland restoration. Should knock the nail on the head as put a big dent in the work needed there just need to tidy the site a bit with our flail. Won't need to worry about the flail overheating thats for sure.

    Its the big boss' idea to use spurs as the anchors but my idea to use the meatier posts. I would rather use Oak but we already have treated 4x4 softwood in storage ready and waiting.

    The boss and i have been discussing this evening the best way to put up a 6ft high fence on a soon to be dedicated bridleway. The plan is to use 1200mm concrete spurs with a bag of post mix around each spur mixed in with some aggregate (railway scalpings), bolt 4"x4"x6' Softwood or Oak posts to the spurs once they are set. Screw lengths of 6"x2" Foottread board as a gravel board just shy of the ground then screw 4x2 rail at halfway and about a foot from the top then nail 4"x1.5"x6' planks to them. Sounds complex but we have a rough idea of what we want to acheive. BTW. Is it cheaper to by post mix in bulk or buy Cement and agregate and mix on site?

    Bit of an optical illusion with the icicles too as the wind was blowing left to right and has been for ages so the icicles have grown on an angle.

    Some icicles that have formed on an old railway bridge on a site i manage.

    Set up for an hour before hand making note of what species of bird are going in and with what. I.e. Woodpigeon, Twigs. 0832,etc,etc

    Judging by the smell the dog has a high protein diet. Possibly a hint of Pedigree Chicken in Gravy. And recently had something with red peppers or tomato in it

    Yet another dirty scroat with the inability to pick up his dogs "eggs". And just for Mad Matty this one had hair in it too.

    Not bad for a compact Canon in poor light. Give it a week n they will be up here too.
